"First year of PS2 a waste?"

I dunno if any1 is gonna agree with me on this one, but I think that the first year of the PS2 has been almost a waste of time, it started well with SSX, quake revolution was ok no online play though, GT3 is amazing and is well worth it, but what else!?? Tekken Tag, what a let down, driving emotion type S made me laugh and ridge racer 5 barely scraped past the finish line! Is that it, is that what £300 brings you over one year, there should be at least 40 top class titles to choose from! At least next year looks a lot more promising, with the likes of Metal Gear Solid 2, Tekken 4 and Devil May Cry in the pipeline the PS2 is looking up, but the fact remains that 1 year of the PS2's short lifespan has gone! Has the first year been a waste?

Turbo is proably the main reason why i got a PS2 :-)

Well im glad to hear that someone likes the PS2, I dont hate it I just wouldnt buy one. Anyway cheers for the argument that I new I would never win. You really dont give up do you.

The PS2 really is as good as I make it out to be. I'm ecstatically thrilled by it and it's easily the best thing I own. Every morning I wake up and check it hasn't been stoled in the night (it nearly was once). I handle it with the upmost care and have it secured into my unit for fear of it crashing down. I keep it very clean and try to repair scratches.

The PS2 really is every bit as good as I make it out to be and more. Someone once said that the PS32 isn't a games console. Well they're right, it's more than just a console.

It's just a shame you can't/won't see it.

Ha ha ha you know what I cant even be bothered to answer to that last comment. Ha ha you really are never gonna admit that maybe the PS2 isn't as good as you make it out to be. But I say fair play to you cause I would be the same if I had just payed out £300 on a DVD player that you can also play GT3 on. Anyway im outta here its very late and I can barely form a sentence at this time of night. So I will bid you farewell goodnight and enjoy yourself in your PS2 dreamland where everythings good and there are loads of good games.

Not really. The developers will get better at it over time and all will eventually reach the same standard. Don't forget, the PS2 had more good titles after 3 months than the GC will!

Yeah its all down to the fact that the PS2 is too hard to program for, so most games won't be using the full potential of the PS2s capabilitys no actually the majority won't. so your gonna get a load of games with preety lame graphics.

Er, it probably can but the developers can't be bothered to get it to.

Look, you are really irritating me here because you blatently don't understand the mechanics of this. Look at G-Surfers or WipEout. These have easily better graphics than ExG3 and run in 4 player mode. It's all down to the developer.

Its utter pants! U can have ure dinner while that baby loads up! Hell, why not go to the shops! M8 its really awful!
