No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.
Why am I trying it out anyway?
The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.
Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.
As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)
Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.
The laptop and OS he's having problems with at the mo.
Jive - bin it!
Didn't see it the first time round ... just looked at the link, not sure if it needs deleting or whether it needs changing, I can find that in the registry, my value is 00 , although when I goto change it, it shows the value as 0000 | 00
:O

Yep, it's set as that.

Yep, it's done

Yep, done that

Yep, done that.
Didn't work, all of those settings I've already tried apart from the last one of Quick Logon as I had it set to the other setting which I can't remember, rebooted and it doesn't offer up a password box :(
> Thats the only thing that could affect it unless of course someone has > ammended the registry to bypass the logon screen
Nope, no one has amended the registry, I certainly haven't and no one else has touched the lappy, it's a completely fresh install as well :(
Looks like a job for registry man :)
Under 'network logon options' put a tick in 'Quick logon' then
click OK and restart. Thats the only thing that could affect it unless of course someone has ammended the registry to bypass the logon screen, in which case try this: http://www.windows-help.net/windows98/troub-332.shtml

I've just seen it, thanks :)
Neo, im up on Collegiate campus, so im parked on the Ecclesall Road (probably not spelt right) where its usually packed. Ive had to do some reverse parking lately...not done any since i took my test 2 years ago....im a bit rusty to say the least...and my beast of a car doesnt have power steering. :( Still...the muscles in my forearms are coming on...
> Ive heard about a Micro ATX which you can build and use so thinking about doing that instead.
Ooo cool, let me know how you get on, might want to do the same kinda thing as my space is running out already :)
On another note, don't suppose you can help me with a quick question on Windows 98 ... yeah I know what your thinking .. bear with me.
We have a fairly old laptop although it runs pretty fast, the HD died a week ago and we've bought a new one, I installed Win98 on it and that's perfect for what it's gonna be used for. Only trouble is we need it to log onto our domain but I can't for the life of me get the laptop to boot up and stop where it then asks for a username and password .. I've got Client for Microsoft Windows enabled, have it ticked so that it logs into the domain and our domain name in there but despite numerous changes it wont present a username and password .... any ideas?
Help me Neo or anyone your my only hope!
:(
