No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.
Why am I trying it out anyway?
The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.
Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.
As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)
Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Well it's all to do with Binary, where 00 (or zero) = off and 10 (or one) = on .... don't ask why it's coming up showing as 10, I couldn't work that out myself so just thought that it was probably supposed to be 1 and just tried it, backing up the registry also makes sense just in case it all goes pear shaped ;-)

Why thank you kind Sir :)
*take a bow*
All credit to you though for giving me the link :D

Good man :)

That's why the IT sector is mainly comprised of men :P

I'm female. Seemed perfectly logical to me :D
Took a stab in the dark, backed up the whole registry and then modified the registry from 00 to 10 and rebooted and hey it works :)
Back on track now, couple more bits of software to install and another happy customer :)
Binning it isn't the solution, works perfectly well for what we want and saves spending £600 - £1000 on a new laptop!
Linux isn't the answer either as we'd have to teach the numpties who use it and they need it backup and working fairly quickly.
So any ideas where to get that util from?
Hmmm looks like we've been having a few probs in here then. Well you know what i say.... Linux *cough*
