It's this kind of comment that makes me want to headbutt people.
It's on the advert for BG&E, it's on the inside cover of NGC, among other places. You'd think IGN had more sense..
Prime is a very different game to Sunshine and Zelda... I prefer the latter 2 due to the level of laughter and just general enjoyment i derive from the games... Metroid Prime is thrilling and damn good... but it's not "fun" in the true sense of the word.
It is what modern gamers have come to know of games, fantastically put together, addictive and gorgeous games are the best.
Once upon a time the games that were simple or just a fantastic laugh, these were the best games.
The latter are the games Nintendo still continue to make. And those who still want the latter are the hardcore fan base of Nintendo.
> Games don't even have to be fun anymore. Half of the most critically
> acclaimed ones are snorefests.
But nintendo games = fun.
> You guys all care too much about what others think. It's not as if
> some stranger saying "Zelda is kiddy" is actually going to
> stop you from enjoying it.
I care about it because it presents an unfair image of Zelda, which goes on to show an unfair image of Nintendo and inadvertently displays an unfair image of Nintendo owners, i.e. me.
We really shouldn't have to put up with your average Playstation 2 owner coming up to you and saying that Zelda is for babies, then suggesting you grow up and play Need for Speed: Underground.
> IGN went downhill along time a go, their reviews are a complete joke
> for the most part and their reviewers are extremely inconsistent.
They really shouldn't be the most prominent games website..
I tried reading their Zelda: Ocarina of Time review last night. I was bored out of my mind after the first paragraph. Terribly written.
more sales = more games.
more games = more fun
I guess it's a tad kiddy and wholesome, but still darned good fun
Now, where are those Werther Originals?
