I think they simply mean that while Wind Waker's atmosphere is fairly childish, Beyond Good & Evil's seems a lot more 'adult', so to speak.
Exactly, I don't want a respected (heh, not anymore by me) reviewer saying Zelda is kiddie. Are IGN dumb enough to think just because it says 3+ on the box, a 3yr old can play it?
If it annoys you - it effects you.
