I think he's hit centuries in all his debut matches against other nations hasn't he?

Weathers supposed to be bad so I can't see it finishing either just hope we give it our best shot to try and get back on track after the world cup.

Nice century from Cook. The bowling was a bit rubbish early on but they had much better lines after lunch. I don't hold out much hope of a finish in this game though. There is supposed to bad weather all the way until Sunday.

Why why why is Mahmood playing the first test?

Andersonhas just been called up to the squad. It swings a lot in England around this time so if he plays expect him to cause havoc!

Hmmm, I suppose Essex is the closest county to me. I tend to watch a bit of county cricket when it comes on and I watch the twenty20 cup when it's on.

That 496 total from 50 overs was some score. That's almost 10 an over. I think the top scorer got 170 odd from 97 balls.

Very impressive, though not quite Surrey's 496-4 or whatever it was in a limited-overs match recently! That must have been unbelievable to watch! :^)

I am from Surrey, but admittedly I really don't pay enough attention to the county game...

Michael Vaughan looks likely to miss the first West Indies test due to a broken finger. Shame, as it looked as it he might have been on the road back to good form, hitting 72 for Yorkshire.

Well my team Derbyshire have put on a good display reaching 784-8 at tea on day 2!

Well, it wasn't a great final but the Australians were the best team in the tournament. They made a stunning 281 from the 38 overs the game was reduced to.

The rain kept interfering and the poor light affected the game. Sri Lanka tried hard but it really was a poor way to end the tournament, which has been critisised for being too long in the first place.

The end was farcical. First the light gets offered, the batters take it and the Australians celebrate. The umpires say that the game isn't over and will have to be finished tomorrow. All 3 overs of it. The run rate is nearly astronomical. They've had to take the podium and put all the stumps and other bits back on the pitch and play the last 3 overs in ridiculous light.

Looking forward to the final Sri Lanka need to be at their very best to beat the Aussies, I think it will be a lot closer than the SA game but I expect Australia to win.

Australia V Sri Lanka is the final on Saturday. Australia did all the damage with the ball and strolled to the target of 150 easily. Lost a couple of wickets cheaply but Australia rarely collapse.

Australia need 81 with 8 wickets remaining, think they'll do it at a canter.
