Just a shame I won't have broadband when it comes out on November 9th.

Last time I checked FPS meant 'First Person Shooter'. Well, the game mainly uses first person (except for the ball thing) and guess what? You shoot people.
Yes, I know you can call it a first person adventure or whatever but it still needs the FPS controls.
P.S Who's to say Samus doesn't have a friend?

I love it. It's my love.
It really isn't
And how can you have co-op Metroid? This isn't Generic Sci-Fi Marine #1 you know, it's Samus Aran, and there's only one!

It used the old FPS controls for starters. Whatever happened to using both analogue sticks. The enemies were pants for the exception of the main bosses (In which it does have one of the best) and there was too much backtracking. Sure, the right amount of backtracking is brilliant but this just had too much. On the plus side, it did have great visuals, which ran ever so smoothly with no slow down. Movement was excellent, not blocky etc etc. A good storyline always helps and was pulled off.
Basically, if they changed the controls and added extra action in the sequel then the sequel will be a great game. If they add a co-op mode I'd be extra pleased.
How Halo 'pushed the FPS boundaries' is beyond me. It was a refined and decent shooter - with two good features (Shielding and two guns only) that have been copied (and the vehicles were well done). The AI, levels, enemies, graphics and sound were all well done, (barr levels actually) but nothing groundbreaking.
> Halo had better AI than Half Life.
And? There's about a 3 year gap!
Sure HL 2 will look better, but then graphics aren't everything as FIFA shows.
And? HL2 will look better, yet god damn it'll play better!

And? That does not make Halo 2 a better game - and the minimum requirements of HL2 are apparantly relatively low. AND it's on Xbox too?!

Hardly. They're not idiots. You understimate both Valve and how bad Breed was.
