256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and finally 4GBs

Panasonic's 64MB SD Memory Card -- $99.95
Panasonic's 32MB SD Memory Card -- $59.95
Panasonic's 16MB SD Memory Card -- $39.95 (this price is falling and will be cheaper than 8 MB memory cards on the PS2)

Look at those stats! I mean a 16MB memory card for cheaper than a PS2 8MB. It begs the question why do Sony charge so much? Well becasue they can and get away with it.

Back to the stats the size is due to Nintendo's dislike for memory cards so buy one and never ened one again!

2GB and 4GB are bigger than GC games for god sakes! Why do we need memory cards with more memory than the games and stamp size as well! This is also further proof that they may make Snes games on them or looking at the size 64 games!

Well I'm stunned I need a sit down (oh I already am)

What do you think? Outageous, Memory cards bigger than games and over $300 for 4GB you could by 7 or 8 games for that!!!!!!

Wow well thats Nintendo and panisonic for you.

Right, so it's a basic PSone kind of setup. Well, slots don't matter, but I've done my research. Apparently it's 5mb so that's 86kb per game. Therefore, I can guarantee each game will be more than one slot.

No each slot fits a game or something.

This is from IGN.

SD Memory Card Adapter
Price: TBA
Release Date: TBA
This adapter looks almost identical to the standard memory cards, but has a slot in the front of it that accepts SD Memory Cards. The stamp-sized SD Memory Cards range in sizes from 8MB to 64MB and will soon be available in sizes up to 256MB, 512MB, 2GB, and even 4GB by 2004. GameCube users looking for additional memory space need look no further. Nintendo is touting the 64MB version of the card saying it can be used to function just like its ill-fated 64DD add-on that the company released in Japan.

How big's a slot is what matters. I hear the whole thing is about 560kb.

Right. Well, the PS2 one is combined as you know and will be 40 quid. I don't know about how much the GC one will cost and I'm making no predictions.

Oh right. Sorry. Yeah, the PS2 can use memory sticks as well but I'm not sure how much they are. Could you find out? Dixons sell them.

Ptobably as Ninty don't like the internet after previous failures since the NES in fact up to the 64DD add on.
