256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and finally 4GBs

Panasonic's 64MB SD Memory Card -- $99.95
Panasonic's 32MB SD Memory Card -- $59.95
Panasonic's 16MB SD Memory Card -- $39.95 (this price is falling and will be cheaper than 8 MB memory cards on the PS2)

Look at those stats! I mean a 16MB memory card for cheaper than a PS2 8MB. It begs the question why do Sony charge so much? Well becasue they can and get away with it.

Back to the stats the size is due to Nintendo's dislike for memory cards so buy one and never ened one again!

2GB and 4GB are bigger than GC games for god sakes! Why do we need memory cards with more memory than the games and stamp size as well! This is also further proof that they may make Snes games on them or looking at the size 64 games!

Well I'm stunned I need a sit down (oh I already am)

What do you think? Outageous, Memory cards bigger than games and over $300 for 4GB you could by 7 or 8 games for that!!!!!!

Wow well thats Nintendo and panisonic for you.

You may be interested to realise that the PS2 memory card prices are fully justified. The PS2 memory card is a complicated beast and supports hardware data encryption through Sony's magicgate technology. What this means is that when the PS2 eventually goes online, you can send, recieve, encryot and decrypt data across the internet using this technology. It is also found in Sony's Memory Sticks, and therefore a standard system which will be well worth using. Definately not complaining about having my PS2 safe for when we get those firmware upgrades onto memory card!!!!

URGH THAT THING LOOKS SO HORRIBLE DISGUSTING. I would rather have my eyes gouged out by 1001 termites than be subjected to that monstrosity!!!

I think Panasonics GameCube (Even though mags say it's made by MAtsushita-Japanese part of Panasonic, it still says 'Panasonic' on the console itself) looks like a wierd Toaster....

However I think that the Playstation 2 looks like a wierd kind of radiator.....

I wont be buying the Panasonic Game Cube because I will probably buy a Portable TV/DVD combi to play my GameCube on and therefore will not need a DVD player. And I've got a CD player in my room so I wont need it for music either!

If, however, Panasonic's GameCube is exactly the same price as Nintendo's GameCube, I may consider it.
