FM was standing in a simple square room, with four braziers, one in each corner, all burning different colours. These weren’t normal flames however, as they did not give off coloured light, and the room remained smokeless, with a white light seeming to emanate from the walls and floor, with no shadows forming. In the middle of the room were two pedestals, about four feet apart. On top of them was a box. In it was FM’s father. FM turned as the guard stopped, bowing.
“Master.” Said Sniper, raising his head, looking into FM’s cold, hard eyes.
“You have your mission? You are ready to leave?”
“Yes Master.”
“Good.” FM turned back to look at the coffin, licking his fingers and rubbings his eyebrows again as he spoke. “This is just the first part my friend. I will have my revenge, I do not know when, but I will/”
“Yes Master.” There was an edge of concern in Snipers voice.
“What is wrong, my friend?”
“I do not know, Master. I think I am worrying with no reason.”
“Ah. You are concerned about the book, yes?” Sniper lowered his eyes. “Do not fear. I will find the book. MY magic grows with each passing month, soon I will have the power needed to find the book. Then, when it is mine, I will have unimaginable power!” FM felt a shiver run up his spine as he closed his eyes, imagining the power he would wield. He looked at Sniper. “You have your orders.”
“Yes Master Meister.”
“Go. Be swift, and do not fail me.” Sniper turned and left the room.
FM turned back to the coffin. As he walked around it, his fingers traced the inscription carved into the stone. He knew them all, word for word, but their feel comforted him. They were instructions on how to travel the underworld.

Wrath exploded through Meka’s mind. He screamed “No!” in a murderous rage as he leapt off the rock. With both hands he brought the sword up while still in mid-air. When he hit the ground he recoiled, swinging it around from behind in an arc. The sword whistled with its speed. The man had turned as Meka hit the ground. Seeing Meka coming, he brought his own sword up defensively, with lightning speed.
Meka watched as if in a dream as his sword come around. Every ounce of his strength went into trying to make the sword go truer, go faster. Be deadlier. The magic raged with his need. Meka looked from the mans sword, hard into the steel blue eyes. Mekas sword followed the track of his eyes, he heard himself still screaming. The man held his sword straight up, to deflect the blow.
Everything else around the man dissolved in Mekas vision. His anger, the magic, was unleashed like never before. No power on earth could deny him the mans blood.
He finished his arc, the sword coming round at eye height to the side of the mans head. It shattered through the mans sword, and exploded through his chainmail hood, bits of molten twisted metal flying off into the undergrowth. The sword continued its journey, making contact with the mans skull, and continuing through, out the other side of his head.
Bits of bone blood and brain flew up into the air as the early morning air was filled with a cloud of red mist. Steaks of blood covered Meka, dripped down his body, dribbled off his sword as he slowly lowered the point to the ground.
The mans body crumpled slowly to the ground, blood pumping out over the ground, mixing with the puddles already there. Meka could feel the cold mist help cool his body.
“Meka!” Meka awoke, a sheen of sweat over his whole body. “Meka, my brother, are you alright?” asked Grix.
“It was that dream.”
“Again?” Meka nodded in reply.
“Come on, get up, we have to meet the others soon.”
“Who?”
“You know, the others from the village. Dan2K1, Venombyte and Ant.”
“What about er-no, and YH?”
“They said they had something to do. They will meet us later.” Grix helped his brother to sit up.
“Ok, give me a few minutes." Grix nodded and left the room. Meka put his head in his hands as he thought about the dream.

“Master Meister?” FM looked around.
“Yes?”
“I have some bad news Lord, about Sniper.”
“He hasn’t dies again has he?”
“Yes Lord, he fell off his horse.”
“How did that kill him?”
“Into the moat.”
“He can swim.”
“Yes Lord, but as he tried to climb out, he must have pulled the lever, the one you ordered put in?”
“I vaguely remember.”
“That let the piranhas in.”
“Ah. I should have expected something like this. He has a whole bloody palace to have his accidents in. I put all that sponge about so he wouldn’t hurt himself, and yet he falls into the piranha moat. Amazing. Nevermind, he will be back by now. Tell him to continue with his task. Tell him to be more careful next time.”
"Strafex, stop."
Strafex halted in mid-air, surprised.
"Why? There's no other way of getting rid of him?"
"Oh yes there is," Grix countered, smiling.
Grix wlaked up to a small cabinet, opened it, and pulled something out...a Lightsabre!!
"The Overlord will never resist a lightsabre battle, after we defeated him before in that Star Wars story..."
"errr...Grix?"
"Yes?"
"That was Darth Sheepy. And if you were to defeat him in a Lightsabre battle, you'd end up killing VenomByte as well."
Grix just stared for a minute before saying, "Oh yes, of course."
Grix threw his lightsabre away, accidently hitting Ant in the arm.
"Argh! Grix you complete and utter total-" Ant was cut off as the Overlord rushed into him. Strafex got rid of him again, and then Overlord went into YH's head again.
"Do you have any kind of physical form we can battle against?" VenomByte asked.
"Well, here is my answer...
Fed up with the N64 he booted up Grix's PC.
Windows loaded up and Ant loaded up Internet Explorer.
It wouldn't connect without Gix's password so we went to the others who decided that they too had had enough of Goldeneye and wanted to use the Internet too.
Grix sat down and typed the password in and waited for it to connect to the server.
It was surprisingly quick today...
Suddenly, electric bolts appeared on the monitor, moving around the screen like jelly fish legs.
They gathered around the centre of the screen and jumped out onto Grix.
He jolted for a second, and then fainted.
As he got back up, he looked different. His eyes were glazed over, he had a hunched back and his voice was strange.
"It's been so long since I've been human." he said as he moved towards a mirror.
"And I've taken the form of the one who trapped me in the cartrage too..."
It was the Overlord. It was typical. Wookie had told them to prevent his ressurection so what had they done?
Gone and ressurected him themselves.
Venombye, quickly seeing a hole in the plot asked "Wasn't he trapped in there with you? Why didn't you escape with him?"
Grix, or should I say Bill, laughed.
"I did. When they thought I was erased, they connected the cartrige to a machine to extract Grix. Had I taken his body then, they woud've destroyed me instantly. Instead I travelled through the web to a hiding place where I could plan my revenge. Now I will execute that plan."
YH put up his fists, "We out number him! We can take him."
The Overlord laughed incessantly. "Don't you realise that you'd only hurt Grix by doing that?"
"That's why I'M here."
They looked round to see Strafex floating in mid air, his angels wings slowly flapping, his halo glowing as he advanced towards the Overlord.
"God sent me down to help you. He said that fate lead to me being killed off early on for a reason. I suppose it might make sense..."
With a sudden movement, he darted and went into his ear.
The Grix fainted again.
Inside Grix's head, Bill Gates was at the controls while Grix was in a cage. Strafex opened the cage.
"Grix, now is your chance to fight him out of your head."
"I don't want to fight" complained Grix, "Where's the reset button?"
Strafex sighed. "There isn't one. It was just in a film script by Turbonutter remember?"
"Look, just knock him out of your head, and then when he leaves, I'll get him!"
Grix nodded and prepared to fight.
Strafex came out of Grix's head and rejoined the others.
They watched as Grix once again had a huge head ache but finally stood up again. Looking pleased with himself.
"YOU FOOLS! DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT IT WOULD BE THAT EASY TO GET RID OF ME?"
Strafex sighed. If you want something doing you had to do it yourself. Again he flew into Grix's ear, again Grix had a huge headache.
Finally, the Overlords spirit rushed out and quickly disappeared. Strafex came out shortly.
"Where did he go?"
Grix shugged. "He's out of me though."
"I'M RIGHT HERE!" Your Honour belted out an evil laugh.
"DID YOU THINK THAT GRIX WAS THE ONLY ONE I COULD CONTROL?"
Strafex flew into YH's eye. A convulsion followed. The Overlord burst out and flew up Ant's nose, followed closely by Strafex.
The Overlord quickly burst out of Ant only to go back into Grix. Strafex followed him but still couldn't stop him from escaping.
Once they had left him and gone into Venombyte, Grix spoke to Ant and Your Honour.
"There is one way we can defeat him..."
Meka stood thoughtfully.
"Well he's not here yet," said Grix "So lets go to my house and play Goldeneye. I never did have anyone to play against..."
So they wondered off in the direction they assumed to be Grix's house.
As they went in, they didn't see new cables being connected instead of the old phoneline by an unknown company...
"Christ, boys, he's back!" One of the sheep recognised Grix.
"He's not? Damn! My backside is still sore from the last time!"
"Let's leg it, quick!"
The her-, the gro-. Look, the sheep stap-, stampeeeeeed, ran off.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
"Hey, look at those sheep, running like that. Strange."
"No, they, uh, er always do that when I'm about." Replied Grix."
"Really?" Grix just looked out of the other window.
The helicopter landed.
They got out.
"Right lads, what do we do now?" Asked YH.
"Dunno. Wookiee just said come here, he didn't say what to do now."
"No, I'm sure he said we had to do something anout the islands. But what?"
"Dunno, for me to check, I'll have to press the "back" button on Explorer, re-read it all, and then press the "forward" button on Explorer, and hop some freaky Microsoft thingy doesn't dlete what I've written so far."
"Wouldn't be much of a loss." Mumbled Meka.
Venombyte, Meka, Grix, FM, Ant, and anyone else who'd been in the helicopter at the time alighted from the idling machine and felt the firm earth beneath their feet.
Ant took another munch of sugar and took in their surroundings. Bleak was not the word. Barren wouldn't even suffice. The sun started to rise behind them, casting their long shadows across the parched and cracked earth that stretched away all around them.
No sign of life was evident. This was a dead land. It was as if all activity had been sucked out of the soil by some malicious demi-god, all of mankinds progress wiped away in a split second of insanity, there was no trace of civilisation, no hint of carbon based lifeform...nothing. This land was a void.
"Ahhhh..." sighed Grix, "Pembrokeshire. There's lovely for you boyos. I'm home!"
Everyone ignored him. Most of them were trying to work out where Ant kept producing all these bags of sugar from in times of stress. And most of them preferred not to think about that for long.
"Judging by the stars' positions we seem to be heading North," said FM, logically.
"And that means what exactly?" said Meka.
"Well, umm, that we're not going South?"
They sat in silence for the next few minutes, wondering what exactly they could do, when they felt a change in the pitch of the rotors, as if they'd suddenly decreased in speed.
"Was ist loss!!" screamed the German pilot, "Ve haff lost der powergerschriber! Ve haff to descent!"
The others could see into the helicopter cockpit and could see the pilot struggling at the controls, and then they could see a pair of feet swing into the side of his head from outside the cockpit, someone was attempting a rescue! With the pilot knocked unconscious, Sniper appeared.
"Hi guys!" he said, grinning broadly as he kung fu kicked the remaining Germans out of the helicopter and loosened the prisoners from their bindings. "I was just paragliding by, you know, and thought I'd drop in and rescue you whilst you were here!"
"Sniper, that's great mate!" said Grix, half enthusiastically, "But can you fly a helicopter as well? You knocked out the pilot, you see?"
"How hard can it be!" grinned Sniper again, unbuckling the pilot and sending him hurtling through the door, taking his place in the pilot seat and adroitly grabbing the joystick.
"Hmm," he thought, "This looks like the right button..."
With a onerous sounding click Sniper activated the jet propelled ejection seat, something that was only available in Irish helicopters, which this one just happened to be, as the Germans had stolen in from a small airfield outside Limerick only the day before. In theory, the ejection seat fired at the exact same time as the main rotors were disengaged from the prop by explosive bolts, but the Irish hadn't got this far yet, and Sniper shot directly up into rotor blades travelling at 3600 rpm. It's not often you see Sniper blended to death, so you might like to copy and paste this part of the story for future reference.
Luckily, Meka came to the rescue with the words "It's OK, I've played Jet Pac Willy on the Megadrive!" as he jumped to the controls and brought the helicopter back into some semblance of flight. "So then, which way?"
The travellers looked about them with bewilderment, they had no real clue which way to go next, so decided to head for Pembrokeshire again, perhaps a lead would present itself there...
"Coincidence." Wookiee said, as he walked through and out into the open air...
It was night now... it probably was before, but the author couldn't be bothered to check. Sniper was sitting in the sand, digging a hole.
"So... where now?" Meka said.
"Now, I must leave you." Wookiee replied. "But you must travel to the 13th island... Rat Island."
"Rat Island? Where the hell is that?"
"Pembrokeshire, another coincidence... just head east a bit, north a bit, south a bit, then west a bit, and you'll end up back in Pembrokeshire. Good luck."
Wookiee began to walk away.
"Hang on!..." FM said, "What are we supposed to do there?"
"Whatever you can to stop Bill Gates from being revived..."
Wookiee walked out of the story... perhaps he may return again. We'll see.
"HALT!" Some germans said, as they appeared out of nowhere and surrounded the gang, like what always happens in bits like this.
"Ah crap."
-----------
"Ze body?"
"Ze body is in ze case." A german pointed to a large crate. "And zere it will ztay."
"Ze mind?"
The german officer looked at his feet... and the other german slapped him.
Another german came running along... "Ze prisoners are here!"
Meka, Grix, FM, Ant... and God knows who else were shuffled through a small doorway, and led through, handcuffed.
"Put zem in ze helicopter."
More and more germans packed into the helicopter as well... it took off, and flew off in some unknown direction.
Sniper pulled himself out of the hole he dug... and watched as the helicopter passed over him...
He wondered where everybody else was.
Stupid machine.
Stupic machine.
Meka was Bond, Strafex was Alec. The complex was where the moonraker laser shoot out was taking place.
Alec appeared in the tower window, bond shot then missed. Alec fired back but only hitting the arm. Bond lined up the crosshair to Alecs head...
The TV went off.
"OI!" Meka started banging it to be stopped by an Angel behind him.
"Er-no has nearly fulfilled the task. You must pack your belongings and prepare to go back to the mortal world."
"Awww, can't I just stay and hour longer..."
"NO. And if you commit suicide then you're not going to be allowed the play on a computer again for 1000 years. Understand?"
Meka nodded glumly and walked away.
"Bah! Who am I going to play now? I finished the single player game ages ago!"
"Come with me then, God has an assignment for you."
"No it's alright, I'll make do by myself..."
Strafex got dragged away by the angel.
He sighed. Why couldn't dead people just rest in peace...
