FM licked the first three fingers of his right hand and stroked his eyebrows, smoothing them down. He turned at, white robes with simple gold embroidery down the front swishing around him as he heard the guard approach.

FM was standing in a simple square room, with four braziers, one in each corner, all burning different colours. These weren’t normal flames however, as they did not give off coloured light, and the room remained smokeless, with a white light seeming to emanate from the walls and floor, with no shadows forming. In the middle of the room were two pedestals, about four feet apart. On top of them was a box. In it was FM’s father. FM turned as the guard stopped, bowing.

“Master.” Said Sniper, raising his head, looking into FM’s cold, hard eyes.
“You have your mission? You are ready to leave?”
“Yes Master.”
“Good.” FM turned back to look at the coffin, licking his fingers and rubbings his eyebrows again as he spoke. “This is just the first part my friend. I will have my revenge, I do not know when, but I will/”
“Yes Master.” There was an edge of concern in Snipers voice.
“What is wrong, my friend?”
“I do not know, Master. I think I am worrying with no reason.”
“Ah. You are concerned about the book, yes?” Sniper lowered his eyes. “Do not fear. I will find the book. MY magic grows with each passing month, soon I will have the power needed to find the book. Then, when it is mine, I will have unimaginable power!” FM felt a shiver run up his spine as he closed his eyes, imagining the power he would wield. He looked at Sniper. “You have your orders.”
“Yes Master Meister.”
“Go. Be swift, and do not fail me.” Sniper turned and left the room.

FM turned back to the coffin. As he walked around it, his fingers traced the inscription carved into the stone. He knew them all, word for word, but their feel comforted him. They were instructions on how to travel the underworld.

Wrath exploded through Meka’s mind. He screamed “No!” in a murderous rage as he leapt off the rock. With both hands he brought the sword up while still in mid-air. When he hit the ground he recoiled, swinging it around from behind in an arc. The sword whistled with its speed. The man had turned as Meka hit the ground. Seeing Meka coming, he brought his own sword up defensively, with lightning speed.

Meka watched as if in a dream as his sword come around. Every ounce of his strength went into trying to make the sword go truer, go faster. Be deadlier. The magic raged with his need. Meka looked from the mans sword, hard into the steel blue eyes. Mekas sword followed the track of his eyes, he heard himself still screaming. The man held his sword straight up, to deflect the blow.

Everything else around the man dissolved in Mekas vision. His anger, the magic, was unleashed like never before. No power on earth could deny him the mans blood.

He finished his arc, the sword coming round at eye height to the side of the mans head. It shattered through the mans sword, and exploded through his chainmail hood, bits of molten twisted metal flying off into the undergrowth. The sword continued its journey, making contact with the mans skull, and continuing through, out the other side of his head.

Bits of bone blood and brain flew up into the air as the early morning air was filled with a cloud of red mist. Steaks of blood covered Meka, dripped down his body, dribbled off his sword as he slowly lowered the point to the ground.

The mans body crumpled slowly to the ground, blood pumping out over the ground, mixing with the puddles already there. Meka could feel the cold mist help cool his body.

“Meka!” Meka awoke, a sheen of sweat over his whole body. “Meka, my brother, are you alright?” asked Grix.
“It was that dream.”
“Again?” Meka nodded in reply.
“Come on, get up, we have to meet the others soon.”
“Who?”
“You know, the others from the village. Dan2K1, Venombyte and Ant.”
“What about er-no, and YH?”
“They said they had something to do. They will meet us later.” Grix helped his brother to sit up.
“Ok, give me a few minutes." Grix nodded and left the room. Meka put his head in his hands as he thought about the dream.

“Master Meister?” FM looked around.
“Yes?”
“I have some bad news Lord, about Sniper.”
“He hasn’t dies again has he?”
“Yes Lord, he fell off his horse.”
“How did that kill him?”
“Into the moat.”
“He can swim.”
“Yes Lord, but as he tried to climb out, he must have pulled the lever, the one you ordered put in?”
“I vaguely remember.”
“That let the piranhas in.”
“Ah. I should have expected something like this. He has a whole bloody palace to have his accidents in. I put all that sponge about so he wouldn’t hurt himself, and yet he falls into the piranha moat. Amazing. Nevermind, he will be back by now. Tell him to continue with his task. Tell him to be more careful next time.”

Four hooded figures stand in the candlelight. A body lies under a red silk blanket on an Altar in front of them. The ancient stone floor around the Altar embodies a pentagram, drawn in the blood of some unfortunate soul. The holy grail sits upon a runed pedestal.

Another hooded figure enters the darkened room. His black robes cover an object carried in his hands.

"You have the cartridge?"

"Yes"

"Excellent. We have the new body ready. The remains of the great one are on their way here as we speak."

"So we need only one more ingredient."

The cloaked figure nodded to the holy grail.

"Yes. The lifeblood of the dreamer."

--------------------------------

"44 high street. This must be the place"

er-no knocked on the door. No answer. He tried again. Sill no answer. He checked the card he'd been given by Sniper's butler. He was definitely at the right place. He turned around to check the time on the town clock.

Suddenly, a black cloth was placed over his head, and he felt a sharp stabbing pain in his neck. It felt like he'd been injected with ice. The icy flow travelled rapidly up his neck as he struggled to free himself from his captor. The cold chill continued upwards, shortly reaching his head. er-no blacked out.

----------------------

er-no coughed as the bucket of water was thrown over his face. He opened his eyes. There was a bright light shining in his face. He tried to stand, but found he'd been tied to the chair.

"Don't try to move" a voice said

"Who are you?" er-no asked

"Some call us the FOG faction" the voice replied. "Who are YOU? And what business have you here?"

"I come to save the future. Bill Gates is alive. This is not how it should be.

"WHO ARE YOU?"

"My name is er-no. I'm a time traveller. I'm a friend of Grix's."

The voice was silent. Seconds passed, which to er-no seemed like an eternity.

"Grix Thraves is no longer with us. Why should we believe you?"

"What about Ant, YH, VenomByte, Meka, all the others?"

The voice remained silent

"Okay, okay, I can prove it. Ask me something that only someone true to the cause would know."

The voice paused briefly, and spoke again.

"Tell us how Mongoose Man helped the cause in the blade runner quest."

er-no strained his mind, searching for the answer. Nothing came. He sensed growing impatience and hostility. There was no choice. He had to answer now.

"He... didn't help at all?" ventured er-no.

The voice considered his answer.

"Untie him. There is much he must learn of."

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO OPEN THE DAMN SUNROOF!" Grix shouted.

"I thought it would be refreshing." sniper replied

"WE'RE AT 40,000 FEET FOR GOD'S SAKE!"

"So?"

"WE DEPRESSURISE!"

"What?"

Grix started pummeling sniper over the head with the remains of his headrest. Meanwhile, FM took over as copilot.
He wrestled valiantly with the control stick but the turbulence was too great. It looked like the FOG crew were in serious trouble.

Back in the passenger section, the effects of oxygen depravation were starting to make themselves known.

YH had an idea.
"Hey I think I can put my whole head out of the window safely! hehe! wanna watch me try?"

(obviously, it wasn't a good idea, but he's a little oxygen starved)

"haha! I bet you can't" Ant said.

Back in the cockpit, FM was starting to grey out from the stress and the lack of oxygen. There was just one chance they had left. He tuned the radio, and set to transmit...

------------------------

elsewhere...

"Hello? This is INTERNATIONAL RESCUE. Please inform us of your situation."

------------------------

"Sniper, what happened to everyone? What went wrong?"

"When?"

"The Incident at the engineering plant."

"huh?"

"Where you survived"

"Did I?"

er-no groaned. It had been easy enough tracking down the future sniper, but it had taken him hours of questions to find out... roughly nothing.

Sniper had done quite well for himself since the accident. er-no hadn't asked how, but sniper had aquired a rather nice mansion, complete with all manner of catering staff.

er-no decided to go for a brief walk in the lush lawns of the estate. As he closed the oak doors behing him however, sniper's butler approached him.

"Here. You might find this useful." he whispered, passing er-no a small white card, blank on one side. Without another word, he turned and left.

er-no turned tha card over

"FOG faction. 44 high street."

As the plane took off, Sniper's ears popped, and his head exploded.

That's the best I can do tonight. Sorry.

"Yeah! It's great isn't it! I bought it!" Grix said, marching over to the plane.

If there is one sentence that sums up Grix, it's "If one person is excellent at something, I can do it better."

In other words...

"You are NOT flying the plane."

"I can fly! I've got Microsoft Combat Simulator. I can do a loop de loop."

Grix made an arm movement to confirm this.

"It can't be that much different? Can it? Anyway, this plane is really cool... it's got a sunroof."

-----------------

"Where are they?"

"Heading onto the plane as we speak. It should be the last we'll hear from them. I'll contact you at 18 hundred. Keep alert, Wookiee."

"Are you really going to go through with this... sir?"

Stefan Ramisté didn't need time to think. "Yes. Yes we are."

"...look for the exhumed body?" suggested pb.

"ah, yes. That's right." said Grix, sounding a bit less confused and ever more confident that they actually had a plan than following a blind plot line that seemed to snake off into the distance like some...well...snake.

Ant was wearing Mongoose Man's fake antlers that he had earlier picked up from the dining room table. Sniper was sitting in the back, behind the bars usually reserved for dogs and Meka continued driving towards the nearby airport, trying not to get distracted by the noise in the back.

"It's a good job we hired a large space wagon." he said as he looked back at the rabble behind him. A lot of them were squashed up two to a seat and they couldn't wait to get on to the hopefully much more spacious plane.

"Er..." said Grix looking at the airport. Their was only one plane clearly visable on the runway, and it looked about as safe as a bloke dressed as Santa in a field of bulls. "Are we flying in that?"

You're very welcome to write your own story all about the afterlife Dan, nobody is stopping you there.

NORMAL SERVICE WILL BE RESUMED.

------------

Ant looked around.

A room? How bizzare!

Grix. Hi Grix.

Grix waved to Ant, and walked to the left wall of the room, and began to push against it.

Pb and Meka appeared, and began to push against the front and right walls, respectively.

Ant then decided that perhaps he should push the back wall. Seemed the right thing to do.

I am Paul's festering Megadrive.

FantasyMeister appeared in the centre of the room, he had black under his eyes. He was either tired or evil.

FantasyMeister pulled out a gun, and shot Pb, then Grix, then Meka, and pulled the trigger at Ant.

------------

Ant awoke, and didn't scream, for some odd reason. He just opened his eyes to find himself sat in the mini bus, not saying a word.

"Ant? Are you ok?" Meka asked.

"Err... yeah, I just had a nightmare... how did you tell?"

"You did? Oh." Meka said, then turned away, and returned to driving.

At which point he found himself driving through the middle of a field.

"Damn..." Snake said, looking around.

"Where are we?" Grix asked.

"In a field. We're supposed to be at the airport though, ON THE WAY TO MANHATTAN ISLE." Meka said, quite oddly.

"Oh yeah, that's because BILL GATE'S COFFIN IS THERE, AND WE NEED TO DO... something." Grix replied.

To those who can't imagine what to do with it I suppose.

Anyway, I give up. Do what you like to it.

Because it's dull and uninspiring? Perhaps?

No, it's a plot that COULD go somewhere if people had imagination.
And it's not the plot I've been using for 3 months, it's the plot i've been TRYING to use for 3 months but never been able to because it's always been slashed through before it can go anywhere.

Apart from being depressingly dull, nothing. And considering that's the plotline you've been using for about three months, I wouldn't say it's fair to say that no one else has any imagination.
