You remember him, he was the reason why we have to give explinations for barring people now after he went on a frenzy and barred several Regulars.

He's already deleted and edited peoples posts without good reason and now he's gone and deleted my posts too. Hardly worthy of deletion although I was being creative in that my posts were in binary code, but then it's not the first time I've posted in binary in my 7 years on Freeola. After all this is General Chat, where anything goes. With the exception of txt tlk of course.

So it's with regret that I'd like to resign my Moderator status from the Movies & TV forum in protest of biglime and his abuse of power. He's already annoyed other Moderators and Regulars, infact the mere 6 posts he's made this month were attempts to justify his earlier abuses. Not the kind of person I would consider Moderator material or even a worthy contributor to the community.

Although i am not really a regular poster here any more, i'll chuck in my thoughts.

I think the moderator situation on here is CRAZY, why have so many? surely it would be better to have 2-3 trusted members as moderators, spreading the boards up between them rather than having most regular members as moderators.

There simply isn't the need for this many people, I am willing to bet that most moderators have only had to delete a few spam posts and maybe edit some swearing that got around the filter and this is probably more than some have done.

I always thought that voting out a notable sucked monkey balls. Why even bother awarding the designation if you're just going to remove it eventually. Once a notable, always a notable. Unlike some of these moderators, who are just.. just a disgrace to the system altogether and make baby Jesus cry.

The fundamental flaw of the notable system was its regularity. I would propose a differnt system whereby 'notables' are maintained as a % of total active forum accounts, and barring a significant increase in forum activity, voting in of one notable co-incides with the voting out of another.

Perhaps there aren't many people other than the moderators posting, because no one really likes the moderators. Well, not all of them.

Most of them are on some trip like they're the notables with extra powers around here and that just sucks. Before this new Freeola, I don't remember any of the current moderators, aside from Borat, @ngel, and Heddy. Kawada normally stayed off around the Sports arena and hardly never ventured a peep into Gen Chat.

I'd rather give the SR Notables back their status and also give them moderator control as well. It was more fun with them around. They were the stars of the show.

Yeah we have over 100 people posting a month, still almost a 1/4 are Mods and chatty ones at that =)

I'd like the golden GAD posts back.

Being regular is the new being notable ... there's more moderators than regulars!! :)
