Hands up how many Nintendo fans tried to s**g off the PS2 for only having 4Mb of embedded VRAM for the Graphics synthesiser chip. Come on now don't be shy, oh well all of you may be interested enough to here that in an official interview on Gamespot ATI's VP of engineering announced that the Gamecube only has 3Mb of embedded VRAM, and it is no where near as fast as the PS2's DRDRAM, which runs at 800mghz and allows a much higher bandwidth in and out of the chip!!
Shame on you all, now apologize to Bonus, then go read the full interview at the address below!!

I just hope this isn't as overhyped as the PS2.
No like I said before the PS2 is QUITE good and has some good games, some that made me wish I still had mine!
But I like Nintendo and their games, and some reason I just like ti more!

What we're seeing on the PS2 however is nowhere

Remember the marked

I posted something similar to this in another thread, basically the way I see it is that the PS2 development kits aren't too user friendly. So developers will create their own tools to get the best out of the console. As a result we'll see a marked improvement in the quality of the games throughout the life of the console. Also as a result of this games will get delayed.
But apparently the N64 development kit and the consoles arcitecture made it tough to program for, so you'd expect the level of games to rise considerably during the life of the N64. Is this true though? SuperMario 64 is still one of the best games out there, though it was a launch title. Under closer inspection we see that Banjo Tooie (a recent title) is a far biggergame, and graphically superior, so yes, a consoles games will get better as developers have more experience with it.
Mind you, in my opinion the console that kept on pushing the boundaries was the SNES. Compare the look of Super Mario World to Donkey Kong Country 3. The progress was truelly outstanding.
All we know is that the games will improve as time goes by, to what extent, we really can't tell yet.
Oh, and the lack of storage space problem. Mulitple discs?
No
