I was recently looking for an RPG for my PC and decided to buy the ancient but amazing FInal Fantasy 7 from ebay. I loved it and got incredibly hooked on the story line, however I have now reached the Chocobo race and my computer freezes and the screen goes black. There is no possible way to solve the problem as the final fantasy 7 helpline has now closed down. I therefore decided that the only way to complete the game is to buy a PS2 and do it that way. so i have now got myself a PS2 solely for playing final fantasy!

I would really like to know what order the games are supposed to be in as I have almost come to the end of FF7 and am looking to carry on untill i get to the most recent game. Would someone please tell me the order using both numbers and roman numerals to explain. I will appreciate any helpfull posts...

I think it's all down to personal taste. That and the fact that after FF VII possibly people expected a lot more from the game. Personally I still love FF VIII. It is, and will always remain, one of my favourite games.

I've also never had a problem saving any of my games on the PS2. One memory slot permanently has a PS2 memory card in it and the other slot always has a PS1 memory card in it.

Meh. Play IX first. Then X. Then VII. Then VIII.

Don't bother playing X-II, it's wrong. Simply because it's a horrible game. Really - it is.

It should ease you in - IX has a good plot, good art, and is the easiest. X is a great game, lovely mini game, and is pretty easy to get into and play. VII is arguably the best, not too easy, not too hard. VIII is extremely hard, but you'll be hooked by now ;D.

Why would anybody want a game like that though.

Gone are the days when people played games that actually challenged the mind...*sighs*

I do remember you saying that youve only played 10 and 10-2 though?

When you were Wakka...

Even you have to admit, FF8 is nowhere near a "pick up and play" game.

Liked your guess the game scoreboard switch. Very smooth.
