Recently, Religion has come up in a number of discussions and it would be good to discuss them. EVERYONE has a belief. This topic has some effect in a lot of lifes.

i think heaven would be daunting if it were a place were everybody just looked back at your life and laughed at all your embassaring and private moments. that would truly suck.
just one more thing i want to add to this. I have been a vegetarian all my life, i have never eaten meat and i am completly healty. I havnt been to the docters in 7 years. what does that tell ya?
oh yeah and some one was saying drugs are worse than alcohol, i honestly think that alcohol is worse than drugs.

I think Veron said that the Devil is a servant of God.
In the Bible (which is what I believe in,) it says that the Devil is a fallen angel, who wanted to be as powerful as God (something like that, anyway,) and sorted started his own little thing in Hell.
The Devil's mission is to stop people being Christians. Once we are, he leaves us alone most of the time, occasionally tempting us, trying to make us feel bad when we've done it.
He mostly tempts non-christians, hoping that they won't become one of God's followers.
The Devil is very dangerous. A couple of nights before I was baptised I had a really bad night. I felt really bad about myself, and thought I was hopeless at everything. It really got me down, and I believe this was the Devil's final attempt to stop me getting baptised.

I dont think that in order to get into heaven you need to
Not have pre-marital shenanigans but you shouldnt give in to your impulses every five minutes.
Self-control should be shown.
Consume alcohol.
You can go out and get drunk just not every night of the week and again show some self control.
I do agree that you shouldnt take drugs.
A mother finding her son in the bath dead is not worth any kind of out of body experience.

How can you place so much value on a animals life but not a plants life. It too is alive i spose its ok because itsfurther down the food chain than most animals.....
If you respect others and there views
and treat others as you wish to be treated then you will get into "heaven".
Sometimes your passion for your own views does cloud your ability to make rational thought but we are creatures governed by our emotions.

Who cares where the universe comes from where did the matter that makes it up come from (same question i know really but a bit more accurate).

Oh yes.. why I feel so strongly. My sister is a vegetarian and has been for a very long time. I feel she has missed out on some of the most wonderful foods in the world. Now she doesn't feel as strongly about it because I have explained why its unnecessary. The main reason I believe she doesn't want to eat meat now is that she thinks people will be annoyed at her for not keeping it up. Vegetarianism is a commitment NOT something you can that easily give up.
If it wasn't for her mixing with vegetarians she would still eat meat today. And I think vegetarianism is completely unnecessary and a stupid concept. Sorry but that's my opinion.

Some big fish eat smaller fish. I'm eating the big fish who killed the small fish so he's getting his comeuppance. Humans are omnivores who need both meat and plants. We are at the top of the food chain. If the sheep start getting really annoyed that they are being eaten by us they should adapt and start devouring us.
