If you don't buy this game then you are stupid/poor. It is clearly the best game on the Gamecube. That is all.

2 things - first - why did you go for that 2 point coversion at 22-22. It doesn't offer any advantages (only puts you up 2 points rather than 1), and if you miss it then you're tied and you still have to score to win. I'd say only got for 2 point conversions if it'll put you 3,4,7 or 8 points up. Otherwise there really isnt a point.
The other thing - how did you challenge a play in the 2 minute warning? All reviews come from the booth in the last two minutes, so, unless you've made up your own game, you couldn't have challenged it. Maybe you mean that it just got challenged from the replay booth and it got overturned.
Sounds like a good game though, even if it was against the cardinals.

Oh and I use that play that you're talking about to Alexander, in the strong I formation. There is also another play in that formation, where the fulback runs the same route. On anything less than All-Pro you can pretty much get it to your FB everytime as the AI doesn't seem to cover the FB. Also, if it doesnt work, it clears out the right side of the field completely for a nice scramble, as long as you send your right WR on a streak with an audible.

Heh, that reminds me of a time at my mates house with ESPN, 4th quarter, scores are tied, there's about 10 seconds left, I have it on their 10 yard line, clock's running down, I throw the ball into the endzone, it looks like my receiver will get it, "BANG" interception and my mate returns it 108 yards for a TD to win the match.

Gutted.

And last night, I had the most amazing 4th quarter ever. EVER. After yours.

I was playing the Cardinals (i was doing badly), they were beatng me 24 - 11 at the beginning of the 4th quarter. I started with the ball, at the 30 (or so) 4th down, and went for the field goal. Score. 24-14.
I kicked it off, stopped them with it on their 15th or so.
They came out with 2 WR, 2 RB and a TE, so I picked one of my favourite blitzes, the Nickel 3-3-5 Engage 8.
I blitzed them, missed the sack, but managed to get the QB to fumble, I went on and returned it 15 Yards for a touchdown. Scored a 2 point conversion to take it to 24 - 22
Kicked off again, stopped them just before the 20. They came out with the same formation, so I tried the same blitz. They fumbled it AGAIN, and I recovered it and scored a touchdown and kicked the point after, 29-24

Kicked it off this time. They slowly made their way up the field, and then a lapse in defense allowed them to score a 65 yard touchdown pass because I pushed the wrong button when chasing the recever and dived too early.
They scored the point after. 31-29

They kicked it off to me, and I used my favourite passing play to Alexander, where he runs diagonally left, then right to get behind their defensive line, used itabout 6 times in a riow to get it up to about their 25, then they intercepted it! They ran it down to their 40 or so, and tehn a few plays later, they scored another TD. I wasn't happy. 38-29

They kicked it into me and I returned it for a touchdown, thankfully, it was 38-36

I kicked it into them, and they ran it to the 50 or so, I managed to keep them from getting a first down, and they punted it to my 10, didn't get a return though as they tackled me as soon as I caught it.
A few unsuccessful plays later I was pushed bakc to my 8 yard line, 3rd down, 5 to go, I went for an Alexander run, amazingly, I managed to evade every player who jumped at me, and I ran for 92 yards for a touchdown. Whumpa. 43-38.

Then I kicked off, and somehow, they managed to score a 61 yard field goal, I thought they would have punted. Boo.

43-41
I just decided though, that with 30 seconds left, I could run down the clock. Thinking that though, stopped me from noticeing they went for an onside kick. And they recovered it!they managed to get it up to my 5 yard line. With 12 seconds left, they used a timeout.
They threw it, I intercepted, and started running, I was tackled however, and up came 6 dreaded letters, FUMBLE!!!
They returned it for a touchdown. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I challenged the play, and with no time left on the clock, and my heart pounding, I watched as the referees studied the play.
PLAY REVERSED!!

I beat the Cardinals. Just.

I've just played a game that would make you remember just why Madden is so darn good.

The score is 17-17 in the 4th Quater, with 2 minutes to go, Eagles v Giants, Giants have the ball. Warner unleashes a deep ball to Toomer down the right sideline and my man mistakenly goes for the swat instead of waiting and hen wrapping him up afterwards. Toomer goes 40yds for the score and the game is 24-17 after the extra point. So I get the ball with 1:50 on the clock, needing one TD to tie the game, and I have only scored a field goal this half, so my offense isnt really in sinc at the moment.

Anyway, first 3 plays all no goes, and it gets to 4th & 10, on my own 28yd line. I run a 5 receiver set. Snap, play develops, and I see that there's no spy on McNabb, so I scramble for a 19yd gain and a 1st down, going out of bounds in the process. There is now around 1:30 on the clock, and I'm only on my 47yd line. Next couple of plays - the Giants blitz me and I barely manage to get away without a sack - 3rd and 10 now, and this time I do gt sacked, and I fumble the ball down to my own 25. My heart is racing as one of my offensive linemen manage to pick it up and save the game. For me - he's the player of the game. So anyway now it's 4th and a mile, literally, so I runone of my favourite plays, where the TE runs an out and then a streak. The defense are in zone and man coverage, with no one on my TE, so I wait for him to clear the zone and release a huge 30yd pass to Smith, who catches it on the sideline and goes out. Now my heart is about to jump out of my chest and I'm standing up - I can't even sit down. My 30 game unbeaten streak is on the line.
So I'm at the 55yd line, with about 1 minute on the clock. Boom, I run a 5WR set again, this time with slot cross-overs. This is almost a gauranteed winner if they put a linebacker on one of your slot receivers, and that's exactly what happens, I wait patiently for Pinkston to make it onto the right side of the field, he has a huge lead over his man and I zip it straight to him. He goes OB with about 50 left on the clock, and I'm at the 30. Next up, I run my 5WR set and run the same play, but this time I see they've put corners on my slots - fine, I wait for everyone to get downfield and scramble to about the 20yd line, with around 40 left on the clock and I'm OB. Next play I run a corssing pattern with Owens and it gets it to the 2 yd line, but the giants call a timeout so I can't run the clock down. I just line up in a goal line formation and pound it in to even the score 24-24 after the XP.
So now there are around 35 left on the clock, and I've gotta give it back to the giants. The way things are going, I couldn't count on them not scoring, seeing as they've scored 3 times already on huge blown coverages. But they run it on first down and thankfully they lose some yds. Next, I get a sack, and it's 3rd and 17 for them. Final play, with about 15 seconds to go, and Warner passes to his guy, who is past the 1st down, but luckily my safety comes in just in time to knock it away and they have to punt with 9 seconds left on the clock. O

OK so I've avoided disaster, and the game looks to be heading into my first overtime ever - but they punt and I get a good return to my 43yd line. I go OB with 1 second left onthe clock. Most coaches here would kneel down and go into overtime - but I'm not most coaches and it's worth the gamble, so I go 5WR AGAIN, this time they run the stupidest 4:3 against my 5 WRs. That basically puts their safeties in man coverage with my slot recievers and so Owens is one on one with his man. Snap, clock expires to 0 and everything is pretty much riding on this play - Owens is one on one with his man down the right sideline, I wait, wait, wait, wait, and then unleash a monster of a throw, which sails through the air like a majestic bird, targeted to land on the 1yd line. Owens is slowing up waiting for it to come, his man is just chasing, he's got no idea that the ball's even in the air. The ball starts to fall, and all I can do is watch as Owens puts his hands up and the ball floats into them. The CB tackles, but all it does is push Owens over the line as he reaches out an arm towards the endzone. Touchdown and I've won the game with the most amazing 57yd TD throw with 1 second left on the clock.
That's why I love Madden - that's why the NFL is an amazing sport.

I hate the Patriots.
They suck in real life, and they cheat at Madden.

Grrrr.

For the first time ever (at least since joining the Vikings, who knows what went on in Peewee football before that), Randy moss may not play this weekend.

Hmm.
