I manage about one game of Pro Evo to every 100 hours of GTA.
I'm not saying he's not an amiable fool, but a fool nontheless.
(Not everyone knows the difference between a menu screen and a half-time screen, by the way.)
Also, the security guy was a FOOL. I had just picked up the controller when he stopped behind me. I didn't know who it was, so naturally I turned round to look. We exchanged an "alright" and then he asked if I was winning - when I was plainly on the menu screens still. As the entrance screens showing the players walking out came on I said "I haven't started yet....but hopefully"
I've kind of figured it out... timing is essential. Unless the player heading it is just rubbish in the first place.

Make time!
As for the shooting problems, I think the shooting is better than ever. Before you could be running at full pelt, tap square and still give it a good old whack and score, where as now, if you do the same, it will still slowly roll into the keepers arms, unless your closer and have placed it well. Its now really important to get you angle, your timing and shot power all right to score the long range goals.
Starting to score plenty of crosses and corners now, partly because one of my young wingers has ace crossing and set piece skills.
Damn it.
Looking forward to playing it again... When I have time...
> Shots seem really unfulfilling in a way, you either tap it in or power it and miss
I don't quite get what you mean about the power. It's quite simple really. They've seriously improved it. Now if you hit a shot at minimal power it bobbles along weakly. If it is just under half way it floats into the keepers hand. If you do it just over half way it should be a good shot, top corner. Full power is a lashing and is great for close range shots.
I find shots a bit more fulfilling actually. Cos long shots/top corner shots have been much improved because of the power bar, so there's more technique to what you're doing.
