Perhaps I should be more clear. In PES3, the majority of scrappy goals were flukes, with odd goal keeping and freakish deflections etc.
Whereas now, you can do those toe poking shots when your player isn't set, which means you score more goals from a yard or 2 out. Also because people don't stand around waiting to shoot and do so straight away, there are fewer last ditch tackles and missed opertunities.
It goes in 9/10 times with the keeper just watching it go past him.
My player then fell over and headed the ball into the goal, looked excellent.
Another stupid thing that happened once, although not about goals, is I got a red card for slide tackling nobody. I did a slide tackle in an attempt to get the ball in the opposing team's penalty area, hit nobody, nobody flinched or fell over, and I was given a red card. I watched the replay quite a few times, and I couldn't make out who I was supposed to have hit. There were two defenders near me, as well as the keeper, but no contact was made. I was quite mad, as you can imagine.
I feel now that you can score goals in a variety of different ways. Whereas in PES3 there were clean cut goals, I now find that there are plenty of scrappy chances, quick breaks, long shots, etc.
I'm Psychic...

Something strange happened during the clock change, methinks.
