All goes well, donations come in.
Until Mike Myers & Kanye West do their bit in the studio.
Myers explaining what has happened, the destruction and lives lost.
Kanye West's turn comes up and he deviates from the autocue and delivers an unscripted outburst criticising Bush and the government for not doing anything in a system that "is set up to help the poor and the blacks as slowly as posisble" and pointing out that a third of the National Gaurd are in Iraq anyway, and that "they've given them permission to go down and shoot us"
Myers looking off-camera with a "Help" expression before attempting to steer it back on course, before West delivers his final statement. Cameras cut away to Chris Rock looking unprepared.
This segment was cut from the repeated broadcast by NBC who felt that "one persons comments shouldn't overshadow this tragedy"
Bear in mind that Kanye West was the biggest selling rap/RnB artist of last year and has a new album out to promote.
And he's risked that to deliver a genuinely angry, outraged statement that an awful lot of people are thinking but nobody is saying on the television.
Watch, enjoy and pass along as the largest selling recording Artist of 2004 alienates the Christian right-wing element of America by simply refusing to play along and speaking from his heart.
Outstanding and I'm buying his album purely to support somebody willing to risk **EDITED FOR THE BONUS OF BLANK** minor financial loss in the short term but possible gain when balanced against the projected earnings from previously unaware members of the public who wish to support somebody speaking out on National Television*** because they cant sit back and say nothing

Indeed, there's not that many interesting topics here at the moment, I just hope it picks up again.
I didn't used to be like this lolz
Nah, I bet they're real timid in real life. It's like the "Real life vs Internet" parody, where people can actually (at least on the surface) respect different opinions without disregarding them.
But one takes others as one finds 'em, so...
My posts are always received with a great deal of defence, if you will.
Rightly so I guess, I randomly attack people out of sheer boredom because SR has been somewhat (read, incredibly) dull lately.
I rarely contribute to discussions here because they always develop into something lengthy, and although I'm actually rather good at conveying ideas and feelings on things, I rarely make the effort.
I'm actually a really nice guy!

What on earth are you talking about?
You got all annoyed it seems because they apparently didn't get it.
I was simply pointing out that, just because they weren't talking about the exact point you raised, doesn't mean they missed it.
There was no attempt at "hilarity" whatsoever.
There's no need for animosity.
I haven't a problem with you and, for the record, I agree with you entirely.
That may seem like I'm being a complete and utter feline (synonym), but I'm not. I was just trying to convey a point...
> you try to tell me to stop saying what I
> want?
I didn't tell you to stop saying what you want... where did you get that from?
> Have you?
yes.
> ~sigh~ If you'd like to read it thoroughly, you'll note I didn't
> resort to insults in any way.
And I didn't accuse you of resorting to insults... Apology accepted - I saw you say it to Blnk but I didn't really take kindly to you shouting at me that I'd missed the entire point, when I hadn't. Anyway, I agree with almost everything you've said in this thread apart from that.
