Another thread on Mikey, true. But I have to keep my hopes up. Losing my favourite 'Pool striker is a blow that can only be softened with the return of the only 'Pool player I have loved more than him. Mikey is on his way back - that's what The Times seems to think:

Read that in my paper this morning before my run, and then amused myself by thinking of Mikey while running (not in a gay way).

Stevie says he'll talk to him in the England training camp. No-one can turn down Stevie. No man, no woman.

Quite an intriguing new development in the Owen tale now. So Newcastle have now purchased Luque for £10m subject to a medical. There is now way they can now afford the £16m-£18m for the owen transfer now.

Then Rick Parry hints that an Owen return before the deadline may be on the cards.

So Stryke, Virtuso, Ant and any other 'pool fans. It's looking increasingly likely that we could soon be seeing Own back where he belongs.

"Very English midfield"

Yeah, N'Zogbia and Belozoglu in particular strike me as very English.

I disagree, Souness just needs a good team that is all.

Owen would love it at Newcastle, working with a legend of the striking game and a very strong and very English midfield.

He'd be a star there.

owen will not join Newcastle permanently, no way. Newcastle are going to struggle for top 10 while souness is in charge.

I don't think Owen really needs any tips but being English I'm sure he'd love the chance to play along side Shearer. However, with Newcastle not being in Europe this season, a terrible end to last season and start to this one, Owen will be put off.

This is what i think and Shearer will retire so owen wants some tips before he retires.

Newcastle is a top team for Owen to join. He just wants to go back to his friends.
