Another thread on Mikey, true. But I have to keep my hopes up. Losing my favourite 'Pool striker is a blow that can only be softened with the return of the only 'Pool player I have loved more than him. Mikey is on his way back - that's what The Times seems to think:

Read that in my paper this morning before my run, and then amused myself by thinking of Mikey while running (not in a gay way).

Stevie says he'll talk to him in the England training camp. No-one can turn down Stevie. No man, no woman.

Cisse is not going anywhere. No chance. Rafa rates him as the best striker at the club and is taking alot of persuasion from the board and fans to make a move for Owen. So he aint gonna sell Cisse to get Owen. Plus Cisse is just too cool to sell. I remember reading reports a while back that he drives around Merseyside in his hummer with a scream mask on and opens the window then scares the cack out of random people.

"Baros could move to Aston Villa and Cisse is understood to be the subject of interest from French club Lyon"

If Rafa sells Cisse, it'd be ridiculous and I'd start to get disgusted with him. I honestly believe it's the start of the patented Rafa Most-Boring-Team-Alive.

Honest opinion? I'd prefer a Liverpool that played exciting attacking football and finished 30 points behind Chelsea instead of a Liverpool that punts balls up to Crouch and challenges for the title.

Nonono, the question should be - who will be first choice: Crouch or Morientes?

The other three get to stay on the bench. This is the Rafa way. Win...noo.....matter...how ....boring.......it....iiiiiss....zzzzzzzz

So if he went to Liverpool who would be on the bench? Cisse or Morientes?

If Lyon put a bid in over £11m then I can't see Owen coming as i don't see Liverpool paying more than that.

*swoons*

I reckon this'll be another protracted transfer saga but that, in the end Rafa will cave to Chairman/Fans/Stevie and table a bid. If Liverpool officially go in for him I really can't see him turning it down...

*Waits for Mikey to call his bluff*

I think Mikey would definitly come back, so it's no use Stevie talking to him. It's just whether Rafa is prepared to put an offer in for him.

Hope he does come back to Liverpool as think he'd be even better than what he was.

Be funny if he did and Real Madrid won the Champions League. How sad would that be?
