Is Crouchy worth £7m?

I rate him as a player and he's proved that he can score goals in the Premiership but... Dunno. I'm not sure he's proved himself fully enough to justify Liverpool spending £7m on adding another striker to their ranks.

They got into the champions league and the FA cup final... that counts.

Rooney was only £20 mil. I don't United were required to pay any of the extras because Man U didn't get anywhere last season.

I hate to say that =(

I wasn't too excited about the Crouch coming when the rumours started but I have warmed to him. Better strike rate than Henry last season and I watched a few of his goals and he doesn't only use his head, scored a few sweet vollys and done some good linkup play. A welcome addition although I hope it doesn't signal the end for Baros as I feel he and Crouch could strike up a good partnership like Baros and Koller have for the Czech Rep. Then another partnership between Morientes and Cisse could be moulded giving Rafa more options. If Rafa, Erikisson and 'arry Redknapp rate him thats good enough for me. I dont think the price was too bad as all English players are waaaaay overpriced (eg there is no way Shaun Wright-Phillips is worth twice as much as Xabi and Wayne Rooney £30m for a kid) so was a good bit of business I feel.

Found an interesting picture of Crouch when he was younger.

I'd prefer him to go to Villa, I think. See him play more and anyone wants to play with Mr Djemba-Djemba.

Nowhere fast.

Villa, Lyon & West Ham have all expressed an interest and I'd've thought Lyon would be the best bet what with Houlier an'all.

Ah, is it that long? I knew he was out to the end of the season but didn't think it'd stretch into the next one.

Hmmmmmm....mmmm... Dunno. They've both got fantastic potential, but neither are fully-fledged players yet. Plus we've seen more of Le Tallec.

But Baros has

Well... that's not strictly true... at all. He's not... really... that good. He's had one good season at Liverpool in what? 4 years? He'd've gone last summer if it wasn't for his excellent showing at Euro 2004.

Well, there is one thing...

Yes, but...he is that tall...

It's like me saying, "oh, if Alan Shearer was a bit crappier, he probably wouldn't be one of England's top goalscorers!"
