I rate him as a player and he's proved that he can score goals in the Premiership but... Dunno. I'm not sure he's proved himself fully enough to justify Liverpool spending £7m on adding another striker to their ranks.
?
Although I think Baros is a fantastic player too.

Wasn't quite my point.

With 13 goals. 13 in over 40 appearances. Liverpool's strikers all had a bad season, what with the multiple leg breakings and all the other injuries, but Baros simply underperformed. He was fit, by and large, for the whole season, he was consistantly Liverpool's first choice striker yet he got outscored by a player from bottom team of the premiership.
Didn't he

Very true, he was amazing in that tournament but you can't rest on your laurels like that. As one of the biggest teams in Europe, Liverpool can't afford to have inconsistent strikers.
Isn't he far

Again very true.

Enough Zenden/Crouch bashing.

Enough of Baros-bashing.

Heheh.
Promptly to either fall over or hit it straight at the keeper; anything apart from be able to actually put the ball in the fricking net.

Into the corner with his head down, totally unaware of where any of his team mates are...probably!

Nah 5 seasons.

I was pointing out that he's really not that talanted, and in my opinion isn't going to cut it at Liverpool. At Southampton or a struggling side it works - they have to resort to hoofing it, and he'll win balls in the air all day long. But I don't see him fitting in at Liverpool unless they're going to play a five-man across with runs from midfield to collect balls won from Crouch, or some other style of play very different to the one they played this season.
So yeah, I did have a point.
