I rate him as a player and he's proved that he can score goals in the Premiership but... Dunno. I'm not sure he's proved himself fully enough to justify Liverpool spending £7m on adding another striker to their ranks.

It's not, I seriously do think he's a

I know it isn't a joke, but if you can't take what you dish out to Rafa...

I'd quibble with that. But I can't be bothered.

Likely story :-) Alright, fair play I'd forgotten about that. 10 of those apps were as subs, 2 in 8 still isn't good.

Awww, have I touched a nerve? :-)

He broke his leg. I'm going to find you and break your leg and see how well you recover. Or maybe I'll just break it so you shut up.

2 goals in 18 appearances last season.
In honesty, I'd rather keep him and not have bought Crouch but that isn't what's happened. The problem with Baros last season was that the formation we played meant he didn't have a strike partner. He's at his best moving off the ball and creating space for others to move into which was something last season's system & injuries didn't allow for, hence his head down-ness.
EDIT: And hence also his rather poor scoring return.
Except for that time he broke his leg. That was probably an excuse though, right?

Which applies equally to Baros.
One good season does not make you a success.
But hey, he's a new signing, let's go nuts!

No. Neither of them has proved themselves at the highest level. Getting one friendly cap because many other strikers refused to come on the tour versus Columbia/Getting replaced by Stuart Downing and repeatedly sold by top clubs doesn't count, by the way, as proving yourself at the highest level. Topping Euro 2004 and being the top scorer for the Champions League winners does. Having the best international goals per game ratio around also does.
Being tall and/or getting signed on a free doesn't make it a good transfer.
