"Download of the Day"
The new Download Of The Day page under joint control of whoever is in charge, for now thats myself(Flock) and obviously more importantly, Asher. I'm just updating it, he's in charge, because he rocks.

We want a group of people who can recommend one track a day which
hopefully people will listen to and pass judgement on. The idea is
just to introduce people to new music.

Friday 8th - SuperSystem - Born Into The World - (Your Honour)

NOTE FROM ASHER - IMPORTANT
If i'm going to be taking control of this for a little while, I expect everyone to take responsibility for their songs and post up a yousendit link or something similar up on the day of their song. I don't have the capabilities to download everything super-quickly like Flock does and put it up, so it's up to you. If you want you're song to get a fair few listeners it's advised that you do this, but if you don't want to then that's fine.
Preferably at least a day in advance so I have time to edit the post each day.

I didn't like today's too much. It was a bit too much like internet games backing music. The guitars nice though. His voice isn't perfect. I don't particularly like those "lazy" voices if they can't actually sing purely.

***For some reason I could swear I know the name El Guapo, maybe I've heard some of their stuff before.

Today's is pretty good, I like it. Very nearly my kind of thing ... but it doesn't really go anywhere, and seems to suffer for it. On the brink of something better - but still good regardless.

I really like it, but I would do as it's my suggestion :-)

Thought it was good when I first heard it. Listened to it a couple more times and it really grew on me. Now I love it.

SuperSystem - Born Into The World
It is odd, reminds me of Daft Punk for some reason. The spanish flamenco rythym on the keyboards(or whatever is it) works well. I like it, dont know what else to say.

At The Drive-In - Non-Zero Possibility
Much much better than Rolodex Propaganda, this is quite likeable for what what it is. Now i've got to honour my agreement with Emitime and get another track. Hope this isn't a one off.

Opeth - To Bid You Farewell
Firstly at 10 minutes 56 seconds it's too long and it wouldn't be so bad but i'm 3 minutes in so far and it's all the same, it's not so good it could get away with that.
Finally the singer comes in after 4 minutes and this is enough to cure insomnia, it's just so languid and relaxed amd i'm hoping for a pickup.
4 minutes left, finally it gets started, really they should have just cut the first 7 minutes but even now it's still so repetetive. Bah!
You all need to listen to Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Mr Tang.
