The new Download Of The Day page under joint control of whoever is in charge, for now thats myself(Flock) and obviously more importantly, Asher. I'm just updating it, he's in charge, because he rocks.
We want a group of people who can recommend one track a day which
hopefully people will listen to and pass judgement on. The idea is
just to introduce people to new music.

If i'm going to be taking control of this for a little while, I expect everyone to take responsibility for their songs and post up a yousendit link or something similar up on the day of their song. I don't have the capabilities to download everything super-quickly like Flock does and put it up, so it's up to you. If you want you're song to get a fair few listeners it's advised that you do this, but if you don't want to then that's fine.
Preferably at least a day in advance so I have time to edit the post each day.

Todays sounds like some kind of Smashing Pumpkins tribute band. The only lyrics I could make out were "bitterness into sexual nervousness" and something about eating their children.....interesting

I really don't like his voice much. It's more talking than singing. But it's alright I guess. There was a lot of build up and then not much happed. Probably won't listen to it again though.
Bright Eyes - Hit The Switch
One of the better songs with a decent melody and no angsty screaming (thank the lord), you'll only like this if you can listen past his voice though and while it's ok when playing it's very easily forgotten. I'm listening now and i couldn't quote a line from the last couple of minutes.

It really isn't all that good. I far prefer The Trickster, True Love Waits and many more of their other B-sides.
