"Download of the Day"
The new Download Of The Day page under joint control of whoever is in charge, for now thats myself(Flock) and obviously more importantly, Asher. I'm just updating it, he's in charge, because he rocks.

We want a group of people who can recommend one track a day which
hopefully people will listen to and pass judgement on. The idea is
just to introduce people to new music.

No Newbies

Monday 4th - Radiohead - Talk Show Host (Down)
Tuesday 5th - Bright Eyes- Hit the Switch (Padraic)
Wednesday 6th - At The Drive-In - Non-Zero Possibility (Emitime)
Thursday 7th - Opeth - To Bid You Farewell (Bob The Moose)
Friday 8th - SuperSystem - Born Into The World - (Your Honour)

Monday 11th - The Libertines - The Good Old Days (Gamesfreak)
Tuesday 12th - Elliott - Away We Drift - (FFF)
Wednesday 13th - South ~ Colours in Waves - (Clazon)
Thursday 14th - De La Soul - Eye Know - (Asher)
Friday 15th - Kanye West - Never let me down (Tiltawhirl)

Monday 18th - Jeff Buckley - Dream Brother (Flock)
Tuesday 19th - Foo Fighters - Aurora - (Rickoss)
Wednesday 20th - Cymande - Fug (Strafio)
Thursday 21st - Joe Walsh - Rocky Mountain Way - (Munn)
Friday 22nd - Ghostface Killah - One - (gerrid)

Monday 25th - Raghav - Angel Eyes (Feat. Jucxi & Frankey Maxx) - (Memo)
Tuesday 26th - Oasis - Fade Away - (Mr Snuggly)
Wednesday 27th - Smashing Pumpkins - Untitled (Cycloon)
Thursday 28th - The Doors - Riders On The Storm - (Mad Dog 4)
Friday 29th - The Delgados - I Fought An Angel - (Clazon)

NOTE FROM ASHER - IMPORTANT
If i'm going to be taking control of this for a little while, I expect everyone to take responsibility for their songs and post up a yousendit link or something similar up on the day of their song. I don't have the capabilities to download everything super-quickly like Flock does and put it up, so it's up to you. If you want you're song to get a fair few listeners it's advised that you do this, but if you don't want to then that's fine.
Preferably at least a day in advance so I have time to edit the post each day.

Works as nice background music.
Just too long and drawn out to allow any kind of concentration though. :-)

Today's is pretty good. Excellent when the electric guitar kicks in.

I realised that after a while ... how annoying.
SITA is for existing Elliott lovers, methinks. Not a converter.

Blinded by my <3

So, yeah, if I may Flock ... or whoever it is ...
Change to Elliott - Away we Drift ?

Just the first two notes if you like.

Todays track.

Nice guitaring. But the song's far too long, I nearly turned it off thinking it was just an acoustic track but then someone suddenly started singing after about 4 minutes.

"contusion is hungry, they still eat their young, protoculture null and void, fever bliss into central nervousness"

:)

And I really can't decide whether this or ILD is better.

Both are damn good though.

Song in the Air, FFF?

NO!

Away we Drift or Land and Water.

These cretins will dismiss SITA in a moment.

I really want to recommend a song by Jack Johnson as I can't get over how good the guy is, however as someone recommended him last month I'll have to restrain for now. Will have a think of a song and pray the last few spaces aren't taken when I return.

Today's is great, although not as good as ILD and Arcarsenal.
