"I've seen Episode 3"

*Post contains no spoilers* (even though we all knew what was going to happen anyway)

Went to an early morning showing which started at 1am this morning (which made me feel exceptionally geeky not to mention tired this morning) and speaking in the style of master Yoda, "like it you will".

George Lucas has nearly, very nearly, redeemed himself for the monumental balls-up that is EP1. The battle scenes (of which there are probably too many if you want to be overly critical, but I guess it is set during a war) are just stunning, the lightsaber fights are fantastic, and the Star Wars atmosphere is overall a bit more like the original series of films. The way the film ties all the ends together to set it up for A New Hope is also done brilliantly, and it left me with quite a satsified feeling to finally see the kind of closure we all knew was coming.

I'll leave the long-winded reviews which break down every aspect of the film in microscopic detail to others, and simply say it was a darn enjoyable film, not quite sure if you'd ever say it was better than EPs 4, 5 or 6, but it certainly dumps over EPs 1 & 2 from a very great height.

Watched Episode 3 last night.

Really really enjoyable.

Dialogue was rubbish (as expected) and some of the acting was pretty average, but it tied a load of loose ends to the original story.

The battle between Yoda and Papaltine was so fricking cool.

Maybe he was on Alderaan in A New Hope

Speaking of Jar Jar, what are we mean't to believe between Episodes 3 and 4? That he just disappeared never to be seen again?

I'm pretty sure I heard him say something during Padme's procession thingie at the end. Only something like, "oh no..."

Maybe he just sighed or something, but I'm pretty sure I heard him. Could be wrong I spose.

I agree with Ant. I think "The Phantom Menace" rocks, and is unfairly slated. No way near as good as "Revenge of the Sith", but still great.

Nah, fair play, the 3-way ligthsaber duel between Qui-Gonn, Obi Wan and Darth Maul was cool.

Heh, I love the way I only have to mention how good Episode 1 is to get you all riled up.

Especially with a guy who signs up again every, single, day...painfully medicore? No wonder you got banned.

Do shut up. It was better in some ways, not so good in others.

Episode 1 had Liam Neeson, and Darth Maul.
