That you realise that you know nothing about them.
:D

I have about a limited wannabe's knowledge of guitars, like I know what guitar I've got and that it's a strat and stuff but; what the hell are these things/what do they do:

Pick-up
Redresss the frets
Grub screws
Tone Pot

Also, anyone know any places on the web that tell you how to play?

Ican struggle my way through tabs but that's about it. No money can be expended by the way.

You seen the Last Chancers?

"Bloody girls that play the bass They don't have any musical talent."

Sorry.

Munn, I think that leaning trick is what a tremello (sp?) bar is for.

Is that what they're called?

I don't really know much about this guitar stuff.
I play Bass. :-)

You clown!

He was referring to you making a joke by saying "on a more serious NOTE".

But obviously it was unintentional.

Unfortunately the things on the sides of my head are the things that don't allow me to use the pegs. I can do the 3 thickest strings all right, but the others mystify me.

Serious doesn't have anything to do with "bad"

If you read further down, we were joking about SLTS, and I was just say8ng, right, stop the joking, I have a question.

Actually a quick googling reveals nothing about dangers so maybe I'm making it up.

Behind the nut bending?
Not sure... I think you may be able to damage the nut like that, but I don't really know.

On a more serious note now though, I accidently discovered earlier that by leaning on the bit that the strings go through at the end (I've no idea what it's called, but it's at the bit on teh body), if I lean on it, the note I'm playing goes up one higher (if you know what I mean), so it sounds as if I'm beinding it (probably because I'm tightening the string), and I'm wondering if that's an OK thing to do, because it's cool and stuff, and I don't want to break the guitar by doing so.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
