That you realise that you know nothing about them.
:D

I have about a limited wannabe's knowledge of guitars, like I know what guitar I've got and that it's a strat and stuff but; what the hell are these things/what do they do:

Pick-up
Redresss the frets
Grub screws
Tone Pot

Also, anyone know any places on the web that tell you how to play?

Ican struggle my way through tabs but that's about it. No money can be expended by the way.

For some reason, I think Bass guitarists are cool.

They're the most overlooked musicians in a band, just below the rhythm guitarist.

Don't really like Tenacious D, but Jack Black's a legend.

No worries. I'm used to it.

Anyone see School of Rock?

Drummmer - learn Keith Moon.
Guitarist - learn Hendrix.
Bass - Just keep rocking that D. That's right, just the D... :-S

Rock bassists give the instrument such a bad name. :-D

Weird. I tried changing something after I clicked send and due to my dial-up it posted both versions.

you can't damage the nut, but you're likely to snap strings quicker.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Second to none...
So far the services you provide are second to none. Keep up the good work.
