:D
I have about a limited wannabe's knowledge of guitars, like I know what guitar I've got and that it's a strat and stuff but; what the hell are these things/what do they do:
Pick-up
Redresss the frets
Grub screws
Tone Pot
Also, anyone know any places on the web that tell you how to play?
Ican struggle my way through tabs but that's about it. No money can be expended by the way.
:)

get the Vox ones if you can find em, they're really good!
make sure the hinge isn't too loose though or you can't set it half-open for that nice "Money for Nothing" sound :)

The book talks of a wah-wah peddle and says "you'll know exactly what it does without us explaining."
I did know what they meant and even though I can't play...
...I want, I want.

You gotta remember that some guitars are only fitted with single coils, so it's if you are looking for a fatter tone.....

no, no and thrice no.
only replace pickups if they're not working. or if you ABSOLUTELY have a good reason (like whacking a SD hot-rails in the bride position on a strat for humbucking joy with no routing needed)
if it's just a question of getting the right sound, get a better amp, or, even easier, an EQ pedal.

You've bought a hell of a lot of expensive golf gear.
Tell me how the guitar sale goes on eBay, yeah?
I want to know what the second hand market and guitar sales in general are like.
