That you realise that you know nothing about them.
:D

I have about a limited wannabe's knowledge of guitars, like I know what guitar I've got and that it's a strat and stuff but; what the hell are these things/what do they do:

Pick-up
Redresss the frets
Grub screws
Tone Pot

Also, anyone know any places on the web that tell you how to play?

Ican struggle my way through tabs but that's about it. No money can be expended by the way.

Ha. Yeah I know McFly are bad but they have helped me with my playing. But do try to stick to Oasis, the stereophonics and Travis if you can. Lol

Jesus. McFly!!! You'll need more help than that, Geffdof. But yeah, I was gonna start of with some Stereophonics, Oasis, Travis, etc. Nice easy strumming.

Get a mate who is better than you on guitar and go round to his house to jam. Combine that with reading Total Guitar and you'll be up and running within a few months.

Also, dont try to play like an expert from day one. You probably want to play like Jimmy Page (or whoever) in the long run, but when you start out learn a few easy songs by Oasis, The Stereophonics, (God help me for saying this next one) and even Mcfly. If you master the basics it'll be easier to learn the harder stuff.

It may have three, but that is three seperate single coils. A Les Paul, under the metal caps, has two coils right next to each other, which are wired together, giving a different sound.

Morley's Vai signature wah pedals are the best.

No way!! Jim Dunlop Crybaby is the best wah pedal by far. Hendrix, Clapton, slash, zakk wylde, kirk hammett, the list goes on. (all people that use crybabies). The Dimebag Darrell (R.I.P.) models are sweet as hell, or any of the original models with the fasel.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
