Why is the DS the first handheld they have used a 3D chip in?

Come on it's not like 3D chips are new

Oh an innovation? It's dead. Obviously:

Oh dear, you're not defending Nintendo well by mixing up the Picture links like that...

Sold it (the 'cube) - not enough worthwhile games for me.

And I probably never will play the DS, for the very same reason. Might try it out in store... who knows?!

PSP all the way for me personally.

Deary me you can tell you haven't played the cube in a while. What a completely ridiculous thing to say.

I see they're planning to release another wave of old games, this time with "DS" appended to the title.

Make a NES game.

Re-make it for the SNES.

Re-make it for the N64 and add '64' to the name.

Re-make it for the DS and add 'DS' to the name.

The only shock is that they didn't add a little '3' (for 'cubed') to the same tired old games when they released them on the Gamecube.

No wonder Nintendo keep raking in the money... people whine about sequels on other platforms, yet Ninty's have been buying the same games over and over for decades!

The last reasonably original thing Nintendo did was put Mario in a kart. And then they even released that several times!

Still, I suppose if a machine looks so dated, old games are the best thing to put on it...

Can you spot the difference?! Well, its got 3 more buttons, but that's about it.

Congratulations on being the biggest idiot alive. Read what you just said and weep at your own stupidity.

The N64 had been out for well over a year when my brother got his brand new SNES. Was a good move to - Super Mario Allstars (inc Super Mario World), Mario Kart, Zelda, all top quality games that I nearly missed out on.

Someone who's not prepared to pay a lot for a handheld? I bought a second original gameboy (my first broke) about halfway into the lifespan of the colour.

If I wanted to play Pokémon Sapphire, I'd purchase an SP, not a DS.

Yes, the SP's market will eventually cease to be. As will the DS and PSP. As new products replace the old, that inevitably happens.
