Hello again folks.

Just thought we could have a nice cosy little vote on the best short story from all the SSC entries so far this year.

Yes, it does include anything up until 31st December, but you can vote now if you want. And, no, you can't vote for one of your own stories.

Now, I thought this would be a good little addition to the usual Short Story Comp because everyone can have a vote on this one instead of just the person who won the last one. It might bring up a few surprises (or Meka might win ;-) ).

How about it?

Oh, and someone else can tally up the votes on 31st December, as I may not be able to get online until later in Jan.

Perhaps we have a mini vote for the best story for each writer? Ineedsleep's list would come in handy for that.

Alternatively, each writer could nominate what they feel is their best story.

oh, feeding, sleeping and pooing. What a life, eh?

I expect my stories to get even more sentimental as she grows and I end up making them up for her...

It is. Now we can get on with a shortlist. Any proposals as to how? Perhaps narrowed down to one story from each writer?...

NO!!

I think it is done. I've gone back and included the very short comp we had and I found the story for FFF.

There are no guarantees that every link works correctly as it involved A LOT of cutting and pasting.

It may be worth sticking the list into the original post as it has already slipped onto the next page. I know it's very long now but should make it easier to find.

.. and I hope it really is appreciated :)

Boring it may have got towards the end but there is a fair list of people who have dipped into having a go at the earlier ones.

Sleepy - could you find my story called "Between the Walls" please. It was for that compo, but I didn't put SSC11 in front of it, because I was judging as well.

And it was pretty good.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
