Yes, they're at it again. The Daily Mail have taken their crusade against all things they don't understand by condemning the decision to put Japanese Manga in schools.

The books are vetted by the School's councils, but the Mail once again shows their ignorance of everything by not undertanding the difference between comic books and Japanese Manga.

Only a fool would suggest that reading an adaption of Spirited Away (to give a well known example) would lead to 'harder' material which is often read by adults in Japan. It would be like suggesting children shouldn't read books, in case it gets them involved in horror or porn based reading material, or not watching Bambi on video, because it will eventually lead the kids to something by Ron Jeremy.

Daily Mail, well done, you've done it again...

*slow claps at the Daily Mail*

Haven't seen this yet, but they're almost religious in their attempts to control society. It's sad that some people will actually read that, and there will be a backlash. They're confusing Hentai with Anime. Hentai is porn, Anime is not. Well...nearly, but definitely not.

Hmmm.... isn't this anti manga thing almost a little last century.

I remember reading graphic novels from my school library . Didn't harm me as far as I'm aware. At least the school kiddies are getting something a little diferent in the library now.

I've recently started to read a bit of manga. Started on the original Dragonball. Must get the next volume.
