Well there already seems to be quite a few Half-Life 2 threads cluttering up the PC Forum and I have no idea how many more will be made after the game gets released. So, I made this thread which can be used to talk about everything that is Half-Life 2 related and I hope you will all use it instead of making a thread for every problem/query you have.
So if you have any questions, links, general info about the game or you need help after its release tommorow, please use this thread :)

Again, it is a while since I used 512mb. I am on 2GB and the difference between this and 1GB is fairly noticeable.

Aside from the frame freeze issue it runs like a dream on top settings. I would imagine that they are right with the fact it will run on lower spec PC's considerably well.

I thought as much.

I thought my Ram was alright? Bah, stupid PC.

For the graphics card it will be like Lisa Riley trying to squeeze into a 60" leotard.

Give it a bash though, I was quite surprised when I owned a 5200FX how far it would stretch when I knocked the settings down.

The RAM may be an issue though.

Haven't played Source yet. UT2004 wasn't all that. It was good, but it was....can't desribe it - I simply prefer playing online on my Xbox than on a PC. Halo 2 is the first game for aaages to keep me playing constantly (online anyway).

I thought it had more set-pieces than the first! Loads of vehicles etc. AND set-pieces suck really, when you can have an organic battle. Halo 2 is a great great game, but it's a shame it wasn't better. Online I can't stop.

ANYWAY, Half Life 2 is downloading. Only a few hours until I can play a really bad looking version of the game.

Oh and for online Counter-Strike Source and Unreal Tournament 2004 are better alternatives as far as I am concerned.
