Well there already seems to be quite a few Half-Life 2 threads cluttering up the PC Forum and I have no idea how many more will be made after the game gets released. So, I made this thread which can be used to talk about everything that is Half-Life 2 related and I hope you will all use it instead of making a thread for every problem/query you have.
So if you have any questions, links, general info about the game or you need help after its release tommorow, please use this thread :)

From what I have played of Halo 2 so far I prefered the original. It had more set pieces, better battles and I just prefered the 'feel' of the original.

Halo 2 single player kills the feel and it plays average. Since Halo I have played through System Shock 2 again, Far Cry, The Chronicles of Riddick, Call of Duty and Call of Duty: United Offensive.

Halo 2 single player pales in comparison to all of the above.

Nah, it's easily above average, but not what people wanted. Ironicly, you were in love with the first, and Halo 2 single player is Halo+++ with extra goodness...and it's average?

Only Far Cry might have changed your opinions of games since then, and that wasn't as much of a game as HL2 is....

Halo 2 isn't really a disappointment because I knew it would be just a bog standard FPS with online play.

The single player is just so... average.

Hmm. CS: Source just 'failed' downloading.

Annoyance. I bet when I leave my PC on for the main game D/L it'll fail about 15 minutes after I leave...

As Public Enemy once said "Don't believe the hype". :)

However, with HL2 it's justified. THE best game I have ever played in my 25 odd years gaming. It's a sledgehammer of cool between the eyeballs.

Halo 2 really sucked all my hype juice from me, a year ago half Life 2 was my most anticipated game since Ocarina of Time; now, with the release date passed I'm feeling no excitement at all towards playing it, even though I should.

The game does run unbelievably smooth but the frame stutter seems to be an issue for everyone. All of sudden from 80-90FPS on top settings the game will stutter for a millionth of a second which sounds picky but it does get really annoying at times. No doubt this will be fixed within the next week or so.

Can't really understand how they missed it after so long.

That aside, it is amazing.

Been playing this a bit earlier, looks very polished and worthy of the long dealys, graphics are stunning with the odd poor frame rate drop. But apart from that It's looking might fine.

Half-Life 2 beats any game released in the past two years. I can't say until I've completed it, but it looks like it will end up as my current second favourite game of all time, after Skies of Arcadia and shunting Super Metroid down a place.

I took a load of sceenshots of interesting places in my journey so far so I can show some friends at school today.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
