I realise that some people on this forum (including myself) are planning to go to university next year, and I figured it'd be nice to see who was going and how far they have got with their UCAS application.

I received my confirmation letter from UCAS the other day to say they have received my application, all I can do now is wait..

The university's/courses I have applied for are

University of Lincoln: Games Computing
University of Lincoln: Computing
Sheffield Hallam: Software Development (Games) - Offer - not for this course, however
Northumbira University: Computer Games Software Engineering - Offer
Nottingham Trent University: Computer Science (Games Technology) - Offer

I have received 3 offers so far.

What universitys have you applied for? Had any offers/Rejections yet?

I was worried about a similar situation, except my course is 3 years, with the second in America- so it's even more attractive! :D

So it's improved since I saw it? Well that's good.

When I went there the halls were shocking and the uni looked absolutely crap. It just gave me a really bad impression of the place.

Yeah I could have done a 4 year biochemistry degree with a year in one of several nice places, but I figured if I'm going to have to end up doing a degree and then doing medicine as a postgraduate, I want to get the initial degree out of the way as soon as possible. So I went for the 3 year course.

I want to stay in the Ziggurat, purely so I can shout things like "Build more Ziggurats!" and "We demand additional lumber!" out of a top floor window.

Indeed. Plus, the course I'm going in for has a year in North America- so that'll be cool (if I get in!).

The good thing about UEA though, is that when you apply for Computer Science with a year in NA, they ALSO enter you for Computer Science for the three years at UEA- effectively I'm applying for 7 courses.

w00tage!

Yeah UEA is all concrete, so what?

Also, brand new halls have just been built and two others completely refurbished.

And having lived in Essex my entire life I'm totally adapted to living with mostly scum. Plus it was a very last resort which I don't even need seeing as I already have a Biochem offer from UEA.
