I'm sure we've all played a game and been annoyed by a certain aspect of the game. Whether it be those blasted invisible walls or the fact the game is so darn linear. So the question is, what has annoyed you the most in a game?

Personally for me it's those darn 'Save the NPC' in RPG's. Virtually every time they have the most god awful AI, low stats and easily get killed by deciding against running back to my party where it's nice and safe instead opting to charge into the enemy and getting a sword through the head. I think what makes it even more annoying is that it can be solved so easily - just let the player control him/her. It's not hard

Well what I was implying was 'popular' doesn't ALWAYS mean 'good'.

I was saying that just because a game is popular doesn't mean it must instantly be good therefore: 'popular' doen't equal/mean 'good'.

Same point as kawada.

I hate scary bits in games where I try to be in control.

No I'm not a little girl, I just mean in FPS games or army games, where I'm very tactical and anything but gun-ho, then some headless freak or terrorist is hiding around the corner of a wall, protecting absolutely nothing, yet has a rocket launcher.

I just jump and say "SH|T!" and waste like 50 rounds of ammo.

Not quite, you said that popular games weren't always good. He was saying that the inverse is also true, which wasn;t implied or stated by you.

To the best of my knowledge, the large majority of unpopular games are unpopular for a good reason, they are crap. Look at the popular titles, GTA, Burnout, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, they are all popular because they are great games. I have been foolish enough to dabble in the market for budget, "less popular" games in the past and I have been left with a bad taste. I bought the very unpopular Scorpion King game a couple of years ago and it went back the very next day because it was a crock of s!*t. You see my point. Unpopular games are very very rarely equal to, or better than their more well known competition.
