Even towards the end of World War 2, it came very very close for Germany winning the war. The Germans were developing a new edition to the V2 rocket, enivatibly the Atomic Bomb. But was destroyed by the RAF, but was not known that until the end of the War that Hitler was developing an atomic weapon and a hell of alot closer of launching the Atomic Bomb, than we were. If he was successful, the first target would have either been New York or a Soviet City which would have sent the Americans and Soviets to withdraw, and Hitler to take over Britain.
Any comments on this thoughts. Hitler really wanted to make peace with Britain, and us to Join the NAZI's due to the fact that Britain being an Island, Hitler admired Britian as we were the clostest thing to a European white aryan race, because not to many people immigrated to Britain?
But at the end of the war, the Red Army, had more than enough weapons to fully supply their troops, think i mention ealier, for every 1 Russian T-10 tank that was destroyed, 11 had rolled off the production line; this pretty much the same as troops, for every 1 killed by Germans there was like 20 to take over, and similar with their Masuer Rifles and PPSh Machine Pistols.

true, they did murder their own troops. They also forced them to run towards the enemy un-armed - there weren't enough rifles to go around. If the guy who had the rifle got shot, someone without one would pick it up. Quite horrific when you think about it.

You're not wrong, I remember learning about how German troops and armour pushed russia all the way back to moscow during winter - it looked like the end for them. Then about a month later, the USSR opened the gates and rolled out hundreds of tanks, crushing the germans and pushing them all the way back to Germany. You've gotta respect their 'take no crap' attitude.

At the end of the war in Europe, the Red Army sent 1million Troops to the Pacific to aid the American and British fight over there.
The Americans had to get involved though, dropping 800 bombs over the area, only about 4 hit the factory, the heavy water containers were intact and 22 civilians died. Yet a handful of norwegians outsmarted 10,000 German troops.
God bless America, if it wasn't for them, we'd all be speaking German.
