Apart from being against the law, why can't I kill someone?

I'm just interested in the answers.

Ha, well, I wouldn't know about that, but I'm sure my toilet's become very stable since keeping to it's prescription.

I think that falls under the 'moral' category.

What would be wrong with killing someone if you were absolutely confident that they didn't deserve their existence?

This really all ties in with the "should there be a death penalty?" question too.

[To Gamesfreak] That's a fair point, but once again that comes down to judgement.

How can I possibly judge that this person who I think deserves to die has had an 'easy' or 'hard' life? How can I know that they have not already been tortured in life, that they have already paid their 'punishment' ten times over?

I cannot say if someone has had it hard, or easy. To be honest, I'd much rather kill someone who's had it easy.

Assuming there was no law, my only reason for not killing someone would be because we don't know for sure what happens after someone dies, so it isn't fair to rob them of potentially what is the only existance they will ever have.

I'm sure my reason won't work for everyone though.
