memory!!

PC world suck balls.
they even use incorrect terminlogy in their adverts now, which MUST be a problem somewhere along the line. So, not content with being staffed by incompetents, they`re now just changing the presentation so they can get the customers to go along with it.

if anyone knows someone at the PC world advertising department, please thrust a swift knee into their jaffers for me.

Ah, now that's different. A3000/Archie's were pretty powerful, one of the first Risk processors I came across. Demo of Zarch got played to death and made me go out and buy Virus for the Amiga.

32 Bit BBCs with the best OS... ever. :D

Were you thinking of the Acorn Electron or something? A3000's were powerful.

We gave the world Starfighter 3000! And Krisalis ported it and gave it the worst control setup ever in the process (the fools!)

:)
We had them in our primary school. I remember text adventure games and a horse betting game that caused a riot. You could have about 10 people with a 100 credits, bet and the idea was to be the last one with any credits left. Everyone crowding round the screen shouting at badly animated horses is one of my favourite memories from school.

Acorn PCs were basically cheap versions of BBCs - now BBC Micros - they were the 8bit powerhouses and had a lovely version of Basic. Ah, the days of Elite, Mr Do, Frakk etc. I loved the School BBCs.

Had to become a geeky school librarian just to play them back in the mid 1980's , but it meant that we could help ourselves to the 5 1/4" floppy discs and swap loads of games.

Sure, I think AMD will top the Intel chips yet again, but as you say, they're currently catching up.

My PC wasn't exactly the best for gaming, though, mainly due to the Graphics card only being a GForce 7300 512MB.

i think it`s because they`re advertising themselves to be THAT helpful.. which means they`re kind of expected to ask now.. despite not knowing anything remotely helpful.

a mate of mine did.
then again, he`s some kind of electronics genius and basically tied together all the computer stuff in his house so you can get to any of it from any console.

watching all the old episodes of gamesmaster on his xbox while the file is on a storage machine upstairs somewhere is very cool :D

he`s always been good at theis stuff though, when he bought his first car, he got sick of the stereo so pulled it out, built his own mp3 player with remote interface, build storage bays for the hard drive and then wrote software for it. it got exhibited at an amiga convention :D (before the last ones got the hint that the amiga is all but dead)
