PC world suck balls.
they even use incorrect terminlogy in their adverts now, which MUST be a problem somewhere along the line. So, not content with being staffed by incompetents, they`re now just changing the presentation so they can get the customers to go along with it.
if anyone knows someone at the PC world advertising department, please thrust a swift knee into their jaffers for me.

Nah, a console with a DVD drive. :D
Who hooks their PC up their TV, I mean really?

Oh, at top end today, you're probably right. But when I got my dual core AMD, it was far and away better than anything else on the market.
Of course, Intel just commercially released their Quad Core chips, so AMD is probably back to playing catchup, but Pentium 4s were never match for the AMDs available at the same time, and certainly at the tie of that advert, P4s had been ritually mocked the world over.

Exeters a bit further from Derby than an half hour drive so you're probably best sticking to that one :P

Hm. I thought Core2Duo suppasses it at the moment? (at least until AMD gets their next round of chips in to shop PCs) - could be wrong though.

Heh. If only. In the Exeter one I seem to be unable to get a salesman even when I want to buy something. I was waiting for half an hour even after going in there after work, rather than during a busier time...

Firstly, if you want a gaming processor, you'd go for AMD.
But the staff...gah! I had already walked out of the store in disgust a couple of times while thinking of buying the PC, and only went back because I knew exactly what I wanted and that it was a good price.
At least they didn't try to sell me an extended warranty. If they had, they'd still be trying to retrieve it...
*I want to watch movies, oh and also for gaming*
You'll want a Pentium 4 processor then, now what about a monitor?
*15 inch.......no let's make it 19 inch*
Ok then, you're all set.
Ermmmm........shouldn't there be slightly more to a computer than that? Boy is that guy going be peeved when he gets that computer :-D
