The Gamecube is costing Nintendo big and sagging sales are a large part of their problem, ditch the deadwood before it's to late.
I agree.
Over the last 10 years or more I've always played games with a controller/joypad/gamepad/whatever. With everyone of them it's been a joy ot use and play, you just pick up the controller and press the buttons; simple huh?
Introducing gyroscopes/dance mats/blood pressure monitors/gym trainers into the mix would just make the game inaccessable for people, as well as making you look like a complete spak in front of your friends as you jump and flap your arms around to make Mario do a spin jump.
I just hope Nintendo make something simple....
Not wanting to it to happen?
In my opinion it should, Nintendo need a kick up a fuss to generate income in the next 'console race'
Lagging behind with the GC still in tow wouldn't be any use.
A decent Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, 'Pokémonline', F-Zero, Metroid and some third party efforts like TimeSplitters would certainly give Sony and Microsoft a run for their money.
Imagine being able to compete in Mario Kart GPs with 8 (or hopefully more) human players! Whoo!
No doubt it'll cost just as much as Live to the customer and Nintendo will be slow in releasing the online games...it's what I've come to expect from Nintendo (but will still be patient enough to wait).

A decent online shooter + a cheaper console price than the others + online would shift a lot of consoles at launch, especially if the console was not overly large.
It is definately the next big thing in gaming, and although MS are ahead of the game, they can only offer the standard online experience in the best possible way.
There will always be room for the Nintendo slant.
What I was saying that online gaming isn't enough reason alone for the Revolution.
Now you have faith, but I don't.
I DID have faith. That's why I was sure Pikmin would be good, even though I couldn't imagine it possibly being any good.
But we've been over this enough times.
Nintendo promised big changes in gaming, with Mario and Zelda, but what they delivered wasn't really revolutionary but a twist on the N64 counterpart, and in lots of ways the N64 predecessors outshone them.
So now I'm wondering where gaming can go other than online.
Sure, there's ideas for the far future, like Holograph gaming and the like but that's much further down the line.
I can't imagine any real changes, and so far with Nintendo's long line of attempting to "make changes" by adding gimmicks like Bongo's...
Sure, they're nice ideas but no revolution.
That's why I have little faith.
That and I barely care anymore and the only reason I come on here is to replace gaming's void by chatting with complete strangers about it! :-D
