I'd certainly hope not. If the consumer is 18 years of ages or over, it should be their own damn decision whether to watch it or not.

Theres a few scenes in my opinion that are really repulsive:

American History X- Shower bum-rape scene and the curb scene.

8mm - the rape and torture flashes

My Little Eye - Plastic Bag suffocation scene

I've just been finding out about an incredibly disturbing movie. Its called august underground and is a disgusting exploitation movie. Shot with a video camera type appearance, the film, shows in unflinching gruesome detail, rape and torture. Meant to be truly terrifying. I havent seen it because no decent dvd site will sell it. For that matter I doubt I'd want to see it. The one sight I found that does sell it www.videoexploited.com say that you should order at your own risk. The movie is likely to be seized by customs because of its sheer nastiness. Think ichi the killer torture + irreversible rape all shot on a video camera. But 10 times more gross and horiffic. Now that truly is the most disturbing movie EVER created.

What wasnt disturbing about it. I think its the fact that u didnt expect to see such an ugly thing, which scarily u felt sorry for when it was being sucked out of the ship!

The effects are pretty dodgy, though admiteddly the tongue eating scene does look pretty damn nasty.

The other nasty bits are where that girl gets mauled by her dog, the way it rips part of her neck away and the blood starts flowing is grim. Also the bit where the house keeper has her head pushed onto the nail and her eye pops out. Come to think of it there's a hell of a lot of scenes in that film that are pretty damn gory, suprised the BBFC let that one past uncut.

Wouldn't really call any of the film disturbing though, entertaining but not disturbing.

Just remembered a film isaw late night on BBC this summer.

The lottery.

Basically about this little town which has a tradition of every year doing a lottery of everyone in the town and the person that wins gets stoned to death...it was quite disturbing as the person that get picked was a mother and even her daughter threw stones at her...

Most disturbing scenes I've ever seen:

Battle Royale

Upon nicking a crossbow and legging it into the woods, one particular character meets a pretty horrific end in "Battle Royale". Running into a girl, who he obviously fancies, he ends up accidentally firing an arrow at her face, which only just misses. The girl then chases the boy through the forest until catching up with him, wrestling him to the floor and then stabbing his *ahem* repeatedly with a knife. Nice.

Last House on the Left
A truly horrible and difficult to watch movie, Last House on the Left is pretty disturbing from start to finish. The rape scene is almost unwatchable. Not a nice film.

The Beyond
Not many of you will have heard of this one. Apparently previously banned, the most disturbing scene in this is where a man is eaten alive by spiders in a really, truly disturbing few moments. The spiders begin by tearing parts of his skin off while the camera zooms in on the gore like it were porn. The bit that really makes you feel like puking is where a spider finally tears the guy's tongue out in a close up. Nasty.

Braindead
While not a remotely scary film, the sight of zombie sex and birth is pretty repulsive.
