1. The closing scene of "When the Wind Blows"; genuinely upsetting.
2. The milk bottle melting in "Threads"; I could pick the whole film, but that scene is probably the most iconic (brief though it is)
3. The end of the radio broadcasts in "Dawn of the Dead"(the original); at that point, you realise that civilisation has collapsed and humanity has, effectively, ceased to exist.

About Scmidt when Kathy Bates gets in the jacuzzi, if that doesn't put you off fat birds then nothing will.
potentially disturbing was the beginnig of kill bill vol 1. I was kinda expecting it when i saw them outside the door looking shifty, but coma rape is v disturbing!
