For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Touch wood, i think we will beat Blackpool. I heard they were shocking yesterday too, and i know we can play much better. I really do feel we just had a bad day yesterday, we have quality in the team. Although they were only pre-season games, the whole team player well in them, including the 3 Prem clubs we had visit Hillsborough.

So in short, i do think we will beat Blackpool, or at the least come home with a point.

Don't think you'll beat Blackpool, especially after losing 3-0 to Colchester.

I think you'll get top 8 still.

We ended up losing 2 - 1, from a penalty that shouldn't be and a fluky free kick (haven't seen the goals yet but heard about the free kick and sky said it shouldn't have been a penalty).

Phew, Town got lucky, injury time goal. I really thought they were going to screw it up on the first game of the season when they snatched the win :)

Nooooo! Not the start of the season i imagined...though i should really have expected nothing less. 0-0 up to 85 mins, where we didnt look great, but deserved a draw...and then we let 3 goals into Colchester!

I know we can play better, just didnt happen today. At least its only the first game, and things CAN only get better (at least i hope so)

Got to look towards Tuesday now. Away to Blackpool, and im going.

UP THE OWLS!!

Leicester should have won today. Did well to get a draw against West ham.

DARN IT!!! Hartlepool just scored a penalty. Why do we always have to give penalties away.

Wednesday are STILL drawing 0 - 0.

I'll probably be going to a few more away games this year as there are more closer grounds.

One being Wednesday, where I will go and see City win, away then at home . . . or the other way round, not sure.
