Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.
As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him
We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.
I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.
So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?
Up the Owls!!
--------------------------------------------
The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!!
Also im going to our first away game of the season to the wonderful (cough) place that is Blackpool....
3-1 to Leicester tomorrow.
City have Hartlepool away and the first away game we want to go to in ages we phone up for tickets this morning and guess what, they are sold out. :(
We better win still win though. We're near the top (maybe even top) at the moment so I hope we stay there. :D
Personally im quite excited, just hope im still feeling as happy at 4:45pm tomorrow.
Hope for the day is, of course, a Wednesday win. An added bonus would be Sheff Utd losing to Burnley, and i wouldnt mind Leeds doing well.
Up the Owls!

Galpharm Stadium
Who? I hear you ask. Haven't got a flaming clue, I've never heard of them and it's a terrible name.

Kinda similar to when the "carling" premiership was made and they got rid of division 4. Give it another few years and league one + two will have more spangly names!
Forest Fan - Our demise has been a little more than...tough. Its been a ruddy nightmare. Things still arent brilliant at the club. There is trouble still in the boardroom, but at least we have a better playing squad this season, and i am in no way worried about the threat of going down (touch wood). Our finances are a problem though, we need investment, and our board reckons we need an average gate of 22,000 all season to break eve, which isnt has far away as you would imagine, and we did that all last season. We have the potential to be back up there, just need the investment.

I suspect it is because coca cola have taken over. By giving them new names it forces everyone to recognise this, they call it the coca cola championship. Where as if it had remained the same people would have just thought "division one" or even worse "nationwide division one" this way they can attache their own identity to it!
