For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

E I E I E I O Up the Football league we go!

Owls 1 - 0 Town. Wasnt a bad game at all, really enjoyed it, though the ref again was shocking. Bit of an jerky start when Town hit the post, but we werent ever really under the cosh. Our goal was brilliant, great move and superbly taken. Our defence had me nervous a few times, our wingers looked great and our front two were great. Town themselves werent bad at all. Owls up to 4th, 3 wins on the bounce, and i cant remember the last time we did that.

Hard luck Ineedsleep, but i have bragging rights until March now. :)

Going to the Leeds vs Town game Tuesday night, so that should be good, then im going to Owls vs Walsall the night after, both cup games, so a good footballing week to come!

Up the Owls!

Off to Woking in 45 minutes for our match against Exeter. Looking forward to at least a point to get us off the mark.

Nasty cough you have there :D

Yep, I wish it had been called off now although it was funny watching the first 10 minutes when the players overran the ball 'cos it just stopped. I watched it until Pool went 2 up and then I decided to watch Battlestar Galactica instead :(

I bet you were wishing it had been called off at full time now? :) Town werent brilliant, but then Pool werent much better either, wasnt exactly a entertaining game, though the conditions didnt help. Pool just took the chances they had, where as you didnt.

Im looking forward to the game on Saturday now, bad result for Town and two good away wins for us means we should win...cough :)

Flaming Nora - I'm so glad I'm not going to the Town match tonight, there is one hell of a storm raging at the moment (How's Bradford?). Only problem is I've lost Sky so I hope it passes before kick off :(

I'm 99% sure they do some sort of delivery service with extra P+P, your best bet is to ring the club - 01438 218061.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5-7 it's open....
