For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Elland Road is the only place for us.

And, anyways, I was quite happy with a point against Forest - just as long as we can pick up a fair few points in the next couple of games.

Be greatfull, you wont be there to witness ur team being on the end of a hiding. We are getting better and better with every game, and by the time we come to Bradford...you should be afraid :)

Bradford City won Stockport County 1 - 0, but still haven't seen Windass' goal, but now we are 6th in the table so lets hope we can stay in the Play Offs.

By the way, I'm going away for a few days over one week end and that would be the week end where we are playing Sheffield Wednesday at home, so I won't be a ble to see us beat them. :( But I'm going to Sheffield Wednesday away though. :D

Ricardo Fuller has been targeted by many Premiership clubs in the past, as far as I know. Everton tried to sign him under Moyes, after Moyes had coached him at Preston, and he almost always finishes a season with a large amount of goals next to his name. If he gets some form he could well be a decent partner for Yakubu, or Lua Lua, or whichever nippy bloke Harry chooses to play alongside him.

Who started off the season up front for you lot?

Can anyone tell me how good Ricardo Fuller actually is and whether his knee is as bad as we (Pompey) think?

Oh how time heals wounds, eh Quint?

Only the other night were you appalled. Woking were pretty poor, actually, despite picking up out first Conference victory and having an idiot of a ref on the pitch. Justin "I'll control it into row Z" Richards scored too, finally.

Daggers, here I come.

Stevenage Boro 5-0 Accy Stanley

Entertaining and enjoyable (for once), best part was our centre-back hitting the bar from 30 yards then going on a mazy dribble a bit later on.

I'm off to jolly Hereford next week!
